Your porfolio and mine only have two stocks in common, EIF and GCL. GCL we did talked about in your previous post. As for EIF, do you mind posting something about it? How do you feel about owning it? What about it recent strength ($23.xx now)?

Let me go first.
EIF is my #1 holding now. I was buying it when it was very cheap. I remember it was trading around $8 to $11. The market hated airlines and it was on TSX-V. No institutions interested in it, and there were only two analysts covered the trust.

At that time, I felt the company's airline business has a moat. It is almost like a monoploy. Their market is too small to have another competitor. EIF therefore has pricing power.

Now at $23+ dollar I have to look at it again to see if I should sell any. It is now becoming over 10% of my portfolio. On the other hand, I feel this is a good company to hold for long term as it has a wide moat.

Hi Ray,

Hope you have a nice weekend!

One reader give me the idea to invest in EIF. I first bought some stocks at 19$ and something. And Friday, I purchased some other stock at 23.90$.

I heard from the same reader that EIF was going to hit the 25$ sooner or later. I got very excited by that, and than I purchased again on Friday! Yeahhhh.

GCL is good, its end Friday up. Good dividend, but the stock price is playing the yo-yo and I don't like that. I once wrote about GCL that it was one of my troublemaker stocks, which I find hilarious knowing exactly how it is.

Hope this give you all the info you need.

Hey Sunny,

You may have covered this before but why haven't you maxed out your TFSA? I see... TOTAL: 2 527.11$ US

Tax-free savings account (TFSA):

TOTAL: 3,771.47$

You could have $15K plus in there. I really like that account alot. No paperwork to track for taxes... and oh yeah, tax free! There must be some reason you don't have more in there....

Hi DVDguy,

yeah, I wrote about my TFSA 2011 contribution before... I did not maximize my TFSA for the only good reason that at this time, I more into increasing the value of my non registered portfolio because I have a margin account. If I transfer non register stuff into the TFSA, it will decrease the value of my margin - or what I have available on it.

But TFSA is a fantastic tool and once it will get at 10 000$ per year, it's going to be huge. However at this time, I don't plan to extend my holding in the TFSA. But certainly later on.

Thank you
