Trading Horizons BetaPro COMEX Silver Bear Plus ETF (HZD) – Part 2

Yeah baby, I sell the units I buy previously this morning at 6.85$... I had purchased this morning 400 units of Horizons BetaPro COMEX Silver Bear Plus ETF (HZD) at 6.65$, and I just sell about 2 minutes ago at 6.85$. 400 units was quite some money for me. After commission, I made a profit a 60.02$ on this trade.

I am very happy with this trade. A 60 bucks could appeared as being that much. Personally, I am not looking to make thousands of this kind of trades. I prefer to keep it very down to earth. If not, it could easily become out of control. I prefer to focus on dividend but trading on ETF is also interesting. I am now done for the day!

  2. Thanks! This wasn't really plan. Right now, HZD is at 7.28$! WOW! But I am happy with my little profit. My philosophy is to sell when I can generate a little profit... But now my readers have the tip... go with HZD for day trading...

  3. With silver being so volatile either way, be careful as that gain can quickly turn into a loss the next time around. These are double stocks and is more gambling than day trading.

  4. Have you seen HZU in last few days. Good thing that you got out from it rather than listening from someone from here.. (I don't remember that reader name).

  5. Hi Arunan,

I think is name was Rob or Frank... the guy about the HZU. But HZU is made for quick trade. I trade it once, and won't trade it ever again. It's not something made for small investors, if you want my point of view. HZD is currently down of 4% or so. Good thing I sell yesterday and run away with my 60 bucks profit.

As you know, I always do my own little way and something it work well, some other time not, but most of the time it goes straight forward. :0)

  6. That's what I was telling you about those double stocks. HZU was trading at 60$ on april 28 and now under 30$ 8 days later, that's a loss of more than 50% in just 8 days. That's not investing, that's gambling with your money. Same thing happened with HZD, it has a high of 42$ and now trading at 7.50. Is the chance of making some profit worth the risk of losing so much money. I would recommend leaving those etf's for the hedge fund managers where they can cover their loss and have stop loss if the trade don't work in their favour.

  7. I was lucky with HZU, I made $1600. in a few weeks with a small amount of cash. I sold before the dip as I wanted to lock in my profit before the next leg up. I plan on buying back in soon.

  8. Hi Pattirose,

I made a profit out of HZU, but very little. I find the title very volatile, but I guess that's a benefit. But see, you did better, 1 600$ profit vs mine, 60$... lol :0)

    Hi Don,

Some people did great on HZU - like Pattirose, for example. I don't like HZU personally but if a person has the nerves and intelligent requested (like Pattirose :0)) well, the result can be absolutely awesome.

  9. I was just lucky that's all. I'm losing $$ on SLW and PHS.U but I think they will recover.

And Sunny, with HZU you made a profit that's what counts :)

$60 will buy a pair of shoes, lol!

  10. Hi Sunny, I understand you can make money, (some people win at casino also, just not all the time). And it's got nothing to do with intelligence, lucky and good timing I would say. If it would be easy to time when to get in or out, everybody would do it. You have to understand that for everyone selling hzu at 50$, 45$, 40$, 35$, and so on, someone was buying and lost alot of money.

  11. It was Rob, definitely not me. Rob recommends silver because he is a retard and buys into whatever is moving up (Ape does too). Actually, you pretty much do the same thing... but that's not really the point of this post. So you made $60 on this trade but risked $2660. Total return +2.25%. And now you've devolved into day trading. Nice. And good to keep us updated on your PSLV trade. Down 27% in a week, you rock Girl! It's good to see you're still around Arunan... for a second I thought they might have got you in the Bin Laden raid. And Pattirose, there should definitely be a law prohibiting housewives like yourself from opening brokerage accounts... Isn't Bingo night enough excitement for you?

  12. Hi Pattirose!

You were lucky, but also very smart with your move. As for my 60 bucks, its a 60$ earn on a buy and sell on the same day. So yeah, I was happy. A profit is a profit lol..

    Hello again Don,

I don't agree with you, everyone can do it if investment is made wisely. I lost money, but make more than what I had lost so far. Loosing money came with making money. You cannot always win on the stock market. It's all a matter of chemistry.

    Frank, what's wrong with you?

There's nothing wrong at investing in stuff on the high. That's what I did with HZD and previously before with HZU. There's big money to be made. My 60$ gain out of nothing is the proof of that and Pattirose success is another proof. It's all about keeping it reasonable and diversify the assets. Many investors don't follow those rules. Me and Pattirose are 2 successful woman traders.

    Keep it cool.

  13. did exactly the same thing...
Bought 1000 share and made 4 trade in the day... In ...out... In out.. made 384.25. wiht that kind of trade we must be fast

  14. WOWWW! That's very good! Myself, I play with a 400 units. But it was fun.

I sell too quickly during the day. If I would had wait, I would had made more but my philosophy is to sell whenever a profit can be done. And I was using money available on my margin. So it was borrowed money, just to add to the excitement. I have the same opinion, this is the kind of trade in which you need to be quick.

But the funniest in all that is that I am in great need of a new pair of running shoes and I guess I know how to use that 60 bucks now...

I did a little bit of money, I may try this kind of things once in a while, always with small amount of money only of course.
