Watch out, I am now at 154 363.06$

The TSX cash in extraordinary gains today following the 1.4 trillions news in back-up cash for the Euro zone and in result, I experimented some extraordinary gain directly in what you are use to, my very own very good investment portfolio. Here at my Dividend Girl blog, no matter what happen, I am like the sexiest cat of the whole universe I ALWAYS get back on my feet. I am the cat woman. There’s absolutely no way this can go wrong. This is what I had been waiting for. This is what I call an extension of my own self on the world wild market baby.

Today was the easy part – enjoying the gains and a possible recovery. But going through the market volatility – and even worst – stock market crashes after crashes is not easy. The stock crash of August 2011 completely burns me out from inside and out. Part of the misery was coming partly from my margin situation. I always felt confident about my portfolio but while facing such destructive events, financial system about to collapse worldwide, no way I could remain calm, no way I could not care. And of course, I worried about getting a margin call, I worry about TD Waterhouse who could sell part of my portfolio without even calling me first and then, at a point, I hated TD Waterhouse for having that power over me, to have to right to sell my portfolio in case something major happen.

And something major did happen in August 2011, but there’s been no margin call and now, I am only missing 45k to hit the 200 000$ in investment. Crazyyy. I just consider myself extremely lucky and in result, you have the privilege to read my blog. So enjoy for now because one day, it could stop and you could eventually never heard of me again.

Another problem being that investing is very addictive so it's very good that sometimes, the market mark points. I am investing every month or so and when I don't or when I do, I just cannot wait for the next time, what's going to be next, what's going to be the investment, am I going to cash big in dividend, am I going to earn great capital gains? It's a story that never end and I don't think it will stop anytime soon actually. So don't worry, you won't ever miss me.

lol :0)

  1. You gained $4,371 from your last update on oct. 4 of $149,992. That's a % gain of 2.9%. The TSX is up from 11,949 points to 12,465 for a gain of 4.3% during that same time. You would've made $6,450 by being invested in an TSX etf. That's over 2,000 more in a few days. Basically, you would've made more money without having to pick stocks and worry about bad picks.

  3. Enjoy and spend some of that money while you're young. If all you're doing is working and saving, you're missing out on years of your life you'll never have back.

  4. i second that. invest in an etf and almost worry free, just have to see the index go up and down daily and not individual stocks. with your selection you are also underperforming the markets

A positive note is that Sunny lives at home and is not married or have a family,,so i guess she is a woman determined to do this. Your comments make sense but no fun. I cannot talk as i am sick when i lose..bought Rim..at $54 and have manulife , how dumb is that but i like to dabble in the markets. is the TSX etf available for me to buy through waterhouse myself or do u have to go to an advisor?

  9. Hi Sunny, Ruth and Anonymous,

I too live at home with my folks. I would die to be in Sunny's position-paying rent. My parnets don't even accept rent from me. All my brothers label me "the smootcher"-my parents won't even accept my offer to pay for my cell phone. I'm with Ruth-if investing makes you happy continue doing it. I personally love investing, but I investing is only a mean to an end. Keep up the great work Sunny!

    Mark

  10. Maybe she is ugly. Maybe pretty. We'll never know.

But Sadly I suspect Sunny is hugely fat.
Like they say " Large and in charge". Otherwise less a stocks and more dates!

Just an observation from her comments, trying to persuade all of us (maybe herself?), that she is hot. All fat chicks sound the same! LOL!

  11. Me? Hugely fat? Come on! But as you said, you will never know.

I guess my role as a blogger is to entertain my readers and fact is, I like to maybe tease by readers, especially my male ones. I think it's absolutely hilarious.

I am the Dividend girl and I am the girl of your dream. That's how you have to read my blog :)

    Thanks Ruth for your appreciation.

  12. Hi Mark,

Maybe your folks are financially healthy. Mines are, but are middle class still. My mom never refused my money when it make sense. At first, she asked for 350$. I give her that amount for the first month (September). And than I felt somewhat embarrassed knowing how much I have and here at my new job, I make a decent salary etc... However, I pay my part for the what I will call the winter wood. Not that much anyway, 90$ if I can remember and my mom was very happy when I proposed to pay my part for the "wood" lol.. I am not Mrs. Cheap in any kind of way. If your parents refused your money, well, that's good for you. Just don't give a damn about what the other says. Anyhow, continue to offer to pay your part every months to your parents. Tell them it will make you feel better. Maybe that way they will accept your money. You may want to discuss how you feel and just tell them directly what your bro are saying about you.

There's no shame to be living with your folks. I am 31, and I don't feel any shame. I love the little place we are in, we have a little home. I have the Internet, cable TV, everything I need. I will feel stupid giving money to an unknown knowing I have a room available at my parent place and if I will move, my mom wouldn't take it, it will make her feel very sad.

I guess you have to build yourself with what you currently have. you have the chance to be living with your family, take that as an enormous advantage. Use the security to your own benefit. Try out some new projects, whatever that will make your bro feel bad about what he said about you. Build up yourself a little revenge and enjoy the cash.
