Welcome in Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (FC)!

I did it today, I buy some Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (FC) stocks for about 500$. My non-registered portfolio fly to the 105 883.13$! That’s very good compare to the update of September 30 when I was very closed to the 102k for my non-registered portfolio. And now, I am closed to the 106k. I am just hoping the gains will remain. If Europe find a decent resolution for their financial problems and announced something very constructive, well, it could happen that the gains stay for real.

And talking about gains, seem like Eric Sprott is looking forward to make some huge interesting gains! The following really make me laugh because while working in Montreal at my evening job in a call center, there was that guy and we used to chat a lot between calls and it was absolutely hilarious. The joke was about to start our own bank. That guy was very knowledgeable in everything related to finances. Actually, we were both doing the same thing: we were working the night shift to do what we wanted during daytime. We chat a lot about the stock market related stuff and it was all interesting. And following those discussions, the guy was saying that we were going to start our own bank and I could laugh hard and awake anyone who was sleeping in the room. Yeah!

So what’s the point with Eric Sprott? Well, Eric Sprott and the Sprott Asset Management are actually trying to form their own bank. And no, it’s not a joke. Read it here.

Another interesting thing is Kinross Gold Corp (K). The company announced they could possibly triple their gold production in Russia. This is a good news and it could eventually result in my portfolio. Oh lala. A lotttttttt of cashhhhhhhhhhhh. Got to love me.

  1. never heard of this company before. good luck. i would personally stick to the big canadian banks as they are also mortgage lenders. this is probably a very small firm and any sour mortgages may make this company go bankrupt fast. don't invest just for the juicy dividend yield. there's always a reason for such a HIGH YIELD to attract money from retail investors... just watch out and be careful...

  3. Sunny, I don't know about you, but this stock market is beginning to seem more like wealth destruction. You work hard, save money, invest in the stock market and see you hard earned money go down the drain. I'm beginning to think people living beyond their mean, enjoying life and declaring bankruptcy when they can't pay their bills anymore are smarter than we are.

  4. I am far from thinking like you and I don't agree. If you had read a couple of other posts, you'll learn that I had purchase CNR at 65$. CNR closed today session at 73.88$. I had purchased TRP at 39$. TRP closed today session at 43.59$. I first invested in PPL when the stocks were at 12$. PPL now trade at 26.05$. I buy MX when the stocks were at 15$. MX now trade at 25$. Those are among my best moves ever. Am I done trading stocks? The game is not over yet!

FC is a new stock I had invested after reading Gordon Pape. It's not a stock I knew before. But after investing in good stocks low yield stocks, I was needed something with a high yield and low stock value. See what I mean?

I think that if you had wrote what you had wrote, you should stay away from the market and leave it all for me ok.

  5. I invest in some stocks of TransCana Corporation (TRP) at 40.27$... For now, I have used my margin money, but I will, if not this afternoon, proceed with a 1 000$ deposit on my margin.

Talk about a 8% gain on trp and 13% on cnr. How about your 50% loss on dgi.un, 30% loss on HZD, 50% loss on nfi.un, 30% loss on ECA, 30% loss on SII and your loss on silver and gold. Somehow, those small gains does nothing to offset those much larger losses.

  6. mortgage investments are always good for the bankers till the loans are cleared off earlier. else chances of bankruptcy.
