Possible law suite against ATP

My non-registered pop up to a fabulous $123 655. I am now at -0.18 %. I am only missing a $217.62 before hitting the positive territory. Data Group Inc. gains more than 20% today, to establish itself at $2.09 per share. ATP is under the $6 per share, no surprise. And check it out:

“SHAREHOLDER ALERT: The Law Firm of Levi & Korsinsky, LLP Launches an Investigation into Possible Breaches of Fiduciary Duty by Atlantic Power Corporation, Inc.35 minutes ago by Business Wire Levi & Korsinsky is investigating potential claims on behalf of purchasers of Atlantic Power Corporation ("Atlantic Power" or the "Company") (NYSE: AT) securities concerning possible violations of securities laws in connection with statements made to investors between July 23, 2010 and March 1, 2013.

I have file in the form. However, I did not enter the number of shares I hold of ATP. Levi & Korsinsky is a firm located in the US, the firm has no office in Canada. Also, to protect your privacy, I suggest you to do the same as I did: fill out the online form completely, at the exception of the number of shares. Don’t enter the number of shares you hold of ATP. Instead, enter a note saying that the information will be provided once the firm will send you a letter saying that it is free to join. If not, you know these Americans, ready to suck money everywhere they can. So be smart.

ATP is in big trouble....

  1. by time there is a settlement, you would have lost all your money in this stock, watch out, yet another of those losers, 70% of your portfolio is total garbage and most companies are so small I never heard of them. that's why you are losing money.

  2. this company is headed for bankruptcy. even if you get money, guess where it comes from? all the investors who put money into this stock... basically the losses you suffered, only if you are lucky you will get back your money...

  3. So, don't gamble, just buy high quality bluechip companies with long history of dividend growth.

  4. the stock went from 14 something to under 6 bucks in the past 6 months, law suit or not means you just recoup some of your losses. there's no way you get back with all your money. the company is losing money. they first have to pay creditors first and then what's left if you are lucky goes to the investors. yet another of those losers in your portfolio. don't know how you end with such piece of garbage picking stocks.

  6. In defense of dividend girl, I disagree with anon's comment that 70% is garbage. And just because you haven't heard of the companies doesn't mean they are bad investments. In fact that is where some of the biggest values are.

Take a quick glance, dividend girl has many winners. Names like Agrium, Pembina, Methanex, Scotiabank, Fortis, Corby, D&H, ENB Fund, Exchange Income, TMX, KLinen, WTE, WEQ, TRP, CNR, Firm Capital, ENB, CU, Keg, Healthlease, Black Diamond, Emera, etc.

Dividend girl - countless others bought ATP and JE. I too held them once upon a time, and luckily sold mid last year before their demise. Do not let the anon naysayers bother you.

I got rid of VSN recently. It is not ATP, but is overdistributing.

  7. I know the value of my portfolio. I never been shy of exposing it because the major part is quite good.

I do not response to comments sometime because I am sometime busy.

I am just very honest with the whole deal. Exposing my gains and lost is part of this blog.

My goal is more to share my experience rather than to dead shine.

But I am shining anyway f awesome girl.

    :))))

  8. Sunny, the lucky break here for you is that you are so young. you can reoup your losses. i however agree that you cannot beat the big blue chip..you bought CNR but you buy so little shares as you did with Agrium , those are the ones to put more into instead of Just Energy...they are door to door salesmen who are selling natural gas and i kick myself for not selling it when i had the chance to break even. it is a hard lesson to learn ..
