Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Life has its own little ways to tell me over and over again just how amazing I am... lol.... euhhh YEAH! :)

My credit card is ranking over the 2k at this time. I bought a "32 TV, a new lamp because my old one broke, a TV Antenna so I won't bother to get on cable, Christmas gifts, Christmas gifts for me, Montreal-New Brunswick bus tickets, clothes, makeup, winter coat, boots... My boots were taking water and I one day went to work with wet feet, it wasn't funny. But now I have new boots. And I have new clothes. And makeup. And I have a TV now. And I never spent that much of my entire life!

So yesterday, I was checking on my bills and new ways on how I was going to pay off that $2 500 current balance on my credit card. As I normally do at least one per month, I went in all my credit card accounts to check if everything was ok and than, I saw it: CIBC Visa was offering me a 0% interest rate for 6 months, but a one time fee of 1% applied. I was totally shocked. Just when I was quite shocking on my budget and trying to figure out how to pay this off, in an instant, the problem was resolved. I proceed with a credit card balance transfer over CIBC Visa and my credit card balance problem was resolved. AMAZING!

Be assure that I don't plan to spend much more and my next time in New Brunswick probably going to be only in Easter. So I have plenty of time to catch up on savings and get a second job or something like it.

So currently, my only debts are my margin account ($62 410.89 at 4.25%), my American Express which going to expire in April 2014 ($2 355.10 at 0.99%), my student loan (probably something like $5 500), another credit line at something like 4% (balance of 5k), and my newest $2 539.75 at 0% for 6 months at CIBC Visa.

Thank you CIBC Visa you had made of the Dividend Girl a very lucky magnetic BITCH.

I have a lot of debt, but its now lower than it used to be and I promise to be a very good girl. My NEW YEAR RESOLUTION is to stop purchasing stock using the benefit of my margin account.

... This is going to be hell HARD.

Also, another New Year Resolution is to pay off my credit card debt. I have great low interest rate for now on my American Express and CIBC Visa, but those won't last forever, we know that. So its a $4 894.85 that I am looking forward to pay off as soon as possible. I have until May-April 2014 to do so, but in the meantime, the money will go as a deposit on my 5k credit line that I hold somewhere. That way, I am sure the money will go the right place.

Today was the last trading day of 2013 and my non-registered portfolio closed at $133 809.40, +16.10%. Very great results for 2013, I am very please.

For 2014, a few things I want to work on:

-Get a second job.
-Pay off some debt.
-Maximize my TFSA.
-Stop buying stocks using my margin account.

I am currently drinking a very great white wine, its a Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2013 and I already drink almost half the bottle. Veryyyy good tasty sexy wine. LOVE it.

Have a good New Year Ever. Since its so cold outside, I am drinking in my bed. Have a nice one.

The Movie Disaster of 2013: The Wolf of Wall Street

The holidays are always a busy time, but this year, Christmas time was a bit too much of rock and roll. First of all, it was snowing, snowing and snowing and it make it quite scary to take the bus for a long trip road to New Brunswick. I went anyway, got stuck in a transfer for 2 hours and I also had a 2 hours wait on my way back... Exhausting. On my way  back, I arrived back in the night pass 2 and I was working the next morning. I went to work without smoking or sniffing anything and even without taking Gravol magical pills and I also did some Boxing Day shopping after work because back home in New Brunswick, there was no Boxing Day, all stores were all CLOSED on the 26th! Can you imagine?

So even after spending the night transferring bus to another and roading, roading, roading, after work, I finally went to my Boxing Day shopping!!! YEAH! It was fun, but as I walked my way back home painfully, I was completely exhausted and I wake up in the middle of the night with a huge fever and it was scary because I didn't want to go to a f Quebec hospital. HELL. But I woke up late the next Saturday in the afternoon pass 3 pm fresh as the princess that I am and the fever was gone. I went for more Boxing Day shopping again and once the stores were all closed, I went to see The Wolf of Wall Street. WHAT A MISTAKE! $12.99 right in the crashhh cannnn! GARBAGE MOVIE!

At the early beginning of the film, Matthew McConaughey, who played a senior stock broker, reveal something quite unspectacular to those who know: investing in stocks is addictive and that is what make it so easy for brokers to make money from poor addicted souls. I had been investing in stock since 2008 and since that time I had made money, lose money, cash in some dividend, enroll in DRIPs, bought stocks, sell stocks over and over again. And I am truly addicted. I - better than nobody else - truly understand the nature of being addicted the stock market.

Other than that unspectacular revelation, The Wolf of Wall Street was a BIG deception to me.

Once out of the cinema, my head was full of coarse language, naked men, naked women, penis, hookers, hookers, hookers and more hookers, drugs, cocaine, crack... Oh, and Leonardo DiCaprio bouncy fancy naked little rich ass, money, money, and MORE money, fancy cars..... I mean, the mix of vulgarity was too intense to make any sense of the chaos. DECEPTION. DECEPTION. DECEPTION.

One of the reason why the movie is doing so great right now at the Box office is well, Matthew and Leo presence in the movie certainly help, but I think our society was a natural wanted taste for hookers, money and drugs. And characters like Jordan Belfort are being acclaimed not without any reason - its the work of Satan himself.

And that is what the life of Jordan Belfort is all about, the life of deception and misery. That guy who want to appear as a genius who can sell anything including a simple pen is only a freak, a sex and drug addict. But The Wolf of Wall Street is nothing more than a celebration of all that sickness. Belfort is being described as a generous man, extra loyal to his friends. And I mean when you get to know the story, when you get to know all the stock manipulation the man had been involved in, I mean, the 22 months he spent in a paradise jail is a joke when you can understand his financial crimes and everything that is involved. Its a miracle that he is still alive actually.

Jordan Belfort is a joke. A liar, a cheater, a miserable man. The stock market is certainly not the place who belong such individual and I just only hope he was no more right to be involved near or far of the stock market.

Playing it real and honestly paid off. It won't provide millions right away but its quite achievable to build on a nice portfolio and start a pretty pink blog.

Canada Bread Company, Limited (CBY) going DOWN

You own this blog post to the generosity of my brother who magically brought Internet with him. I had a great times home, but the snow block a few projects. Old folks are doing well, younger ones too, I had received nice gifts, everyone seem to be please with the gifts I gave. You may be reading the blog of a millionaire right now or a future one. I have a 649 that will be draw tomorrow and before leaving for New Brunswick, I had bought a Loto Max, 50 millions. So if you don't get any more posts for a couple days, you'll know why, its because the babe now a $$$ millionaire.

Ok, the following is incredible. While catching up with the financial news, I learn that Sprott Inc. is no in charge of a Koran pension fund. Wow, I wonder how this ever happen because everything related to Eric Sprott completely suck in 2013. Seem like Korean government is enough stupid to rely on Eric Sprott to manage public funds. Whatever... This deal had no effect on the value of my Sprott Inc. (SII) shares.

I could be interested in holding some Reitmans shares just like Fairfax because Reitmans is trading at a cheap price and I like some of Reitmans clothes but quality is more or less there sometimes.

Its real to bad, but my latest investment in Canada Bread Company, Limited (CBY) seriously went down and its real too bad. I had lost $225 on the investment. However, the non-registered portfolio is at $132 863. I was scared for my Exchange Income fund (EIF), but I am at a profit of $253 on that one. Jean-François Tardif now wake up and seriously kick up some @ss with his JFS.UN closing the year at 15%. It was about time!

Going back to Montreal tonight so just wait for me there.

Have a Merry Merry Christmas Investors!

I was quite please that my latest investment seem to push it to the top! Canada bread Company Ltd (CBY) closed today session at $80 per share! I had purchased my shares at $77.67. So that's a very greattt day to close the year 2013!! Youhou.

I will be away on vacation for a couple days so I am taking time to leave something behind so you won't miss too much...

My non-registered portfolio is currently at a hot $132 624.77, +$17 374.6, 15.08%. My margin is at $19 319.54 value. I am leaving a 5k on it. It should be enough until my return. My only worry-day will be this upcoming Monday, but I think 5k should be enough in those market conditions to support it all.

Complicated, you said? Live can be complicated while living it on margin.

The special dividend of CBY really worth it, even if you perform the hot BUY move on a margin like me. I don't think we'll experiment a big super drop on the value of CBY following December 30th because CBY had a high value even way before the extra special distribution of $8 per share had been announced. The stock is for me a blue chip, so nothing much to worry about. You could get stuck with it for a little while, but stocks like that always go to a way up, even after a year or 2 - like my HRX shares. Remember that one?

I place my option to get the max shares of Shoppers Drug Mart for cash and than I also select a tax option where I won't be penalize if any of my shares get turn in Loblaw shares. So that is done! It was the last little thing left on my to-do list before going to New Brunswick. I also get transfer a $90 that was lying in cash in my TFSA to my non-registered one. It will help to pay for my bus ticket.

I just received  a 1 dollar dividend from Stella-Jones Inc. (SJ).

Time for me to stop writing this post.

To all of my readers, I wish you a MERRY CHRIST'MAS and chat again later.

Easy money as ONE, TWO and THREE: WELCOME in my non-registered portfolio Canada Bread Company Ltd (CBY)!

There's a couple of things I fell for every single times and extra juicy special dividend is something I just cannot help. We had hit good before with the special dividend of HRX. Well this time, its almost as good as that one. For all stocks settle down on date of December 30th, investors will received $8 per Canada Bread Company Ltd (CBY) shares. I invested in a couple of shares at $77.67... today.

For once, I didn't invest in something at its peak value....

Being francophone is not all bad at all. La Presse had a little something wrote about Canada Bread and voilà, I didn't think much, I was in the spirit of the moment.

CBY is expensive, but I think it should go smooth even after December 30th. And I will sell later on, but no rush.

And on January 6th, bling-bling, I will get some real fresh cash, once again, one more time.

Are you going to do the same?

Derek Foster is selling an impossible dream over and over again

Derek Foster sent his readers a newsletter today. The subject being that we shouldn't rely on government CPP to backup our ass at the time of our retirement. I think the federal governments had shown multiple times that Canadian citizen cannot in any ways rely on the help of government when it comes to our well-being. Being Canada mean that we are alone in a country that is not a united country as long as Quebeckers will be in the portrait.

After selling the impossible dream of Money for Nothing and Stop Working, early retirement and other shit like that we all love, now, Derek Foster open the door to a new hot and sexy money phenomena: how to get rich on TFSA. What Derek Foster says is that if one individual contribute the maximum to a TFSA and invest in quality blue chips, well, at the time the do individual will be a senior, the do will be a millionaire.

Seem to good to be true.

Well, Pappy Gordon Pape has about the same on going say-say in his book about TFSA. Invest in a TFSA and you'll get rich.

Well you know what, I have enough.

At this point, both Derek Foster AND as always Gordon Pape are seriously pissing me off.

What is the madness all about?

I had been on the workforce for what... for 8 years now and I already have enough. I am not happy to have to live in Quebec just to be able to work. I am tired of being dominated. I am tired of Quebeckers. I have enough of my workplace and Montreal.

A lottttt of things are pissing me off right now and I am very extra close to just get the hell out and just leave everything behind. I have more than enough.

So do you seriously think that I will be able to work until I am 65 years old?

Oh F NO!

This is why I am just extremely tired of all this money dividend shit even if I am the one and only Dividend Girl on Earth ok. ENOUGH.

I have enough of the millionaire talk.

Do you seriously think that an individual in the middle class will be able to save 5k+ each and single years of working life? COME ON.

Just wait until I get pregnant by a F Quebecker and we'll see if I still have money to invest!!!

No question to be ask. Once children get in the house, when a family is involve,  there's no way I will be able to find much money to be save. Kids, life, family is all about expense, expense, expense.

It is not realistic to come over, and say ok, do this, and you'll get your millions. How can you, Derek Foster? How can you possible be selling the dream when you agree yourself to say so, that you had been lucky and you are an exception among the exception.

I would like you to be in my pants, be in the most foolish province, working with hypocrites, having to deal with  the same shit day after day after day. Where do you think I am going? I am on the million dollar road here? Nooo. Its the road of poverty, of extreme misery. Its a life with no meaning.

And the dream your selling, you haven't the right to expose it the way you do and this is why that if I see you face-to-face one day, I will be very tempt to beat you up.

Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX) is on the high

Earlier this year, back in September actually, I got very excited over the acquisition of Shoppers Drug Mart  (SC) by Loblaw. At the time, I saw a good opportunity to make money out of the deal, as long the purchase would be made below Loblaw acquisition price of $61.54. I bought my shares of $59.08 and since my purchase, I also earn dividend of SC. Cool, but now had came the time!

I had received a letter from TD Waterhouse. I have until December 30 to decided: to cash in $61.54 per SC shares I hold or earn 1,29417 shares of Loblaw (L) per SC shares I hold.

On today, Loblaw closed the session at $41.71. So let say that each share I hold of Shoppers worth 1,2917 shares of Loblaw at let say, $41.71, for a value of $2 698.99. On the other end, if I sell my SC shares for $61.54 per share, I will cash in $3 077, not including the dividend earlier earn.

Loblaw could be a good stock to hold on to, but I am very tempt to do like I first wanted to do: cash in $61.54 for every single shares of SC that I hold.

Nice, but there could be chances that not all of my shares of SC get sold and I could be left with a few shared of Loblaw - just like it happen with my TSX shares when the X got acquired by some Maple caca bankers. I am pretty sure I am going to place a sell order because its what I now want. I wouldn't mind to have a little left over of Loblaw in my portfolio.

I need to lower the usage of my margin anyway, so this sell option will just work fine for me.

Other extraordinary things, for one of the first time ever, I am in a positive territory with Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX). I made a profit of $2.66 on my shares... I had made $500 out of the special dividend payment of HRX. That was over a year ago, but ever since, I stick and hold tightly to my very precious HRX shares.

I have to say that I began to worry about my Saputo shares. The deal in Australia is taking long to happen. However, nothing is lost, it could go through.

So it all going well. If it wouldn't be of the stock market falling upside down, it would be ALL GOOD.

But hey, I guess pappy Gordon Pape little rich friends of the golf Club are buying stocks like crazy right now. Right pappy?

A friendly hello from your favorite Dividend Girl

I guess you wonder what happen to your favorite Dividend Girl! Where had I been?

Well, I had been home watching TV! I bought an Insignia "32 TV for $212 at Future Shop. I had conducted experimentation with TV Antenna. I bought a cheap one at $29.99. I was able to get 2 channels with it. Knowing that I can get my money back within 30 days, I bought another antenna, close worth to $70 - and that one work better, I got 5 channels with it. I thing I will get my TV really next to the window to get better receptionut so far, I am having fun with my TV. I get TVA, Tele Quebec, CTV, Radio Canada in French and another French channel, canal V. No way I am going to pay $40+ to get cable at home, so I guess the $70 antenna will do the thing.

My non-registered portfolio is at its highest ever. I am now at $128 586.89... And my credit card balance its getting at its highest ever too. I am racking on the $1 500 and the month is not even over. But it was kind of expected. I did my Holidays gifts, went to the movies, bought a new necklaces, bought coffees like crazy, bought some clothes, a nice pajama at Reitman, makeup and a bunch of other things...  And not to forget my 32" TV and digital TV antenna. Once the month will be over, I guess my credit card will be at something like $1 800-$1 900. Pretty wild! And I didn't even get my hair done.... For once in my life, there will be no saving in December. I spent all of the money. WTF. I am not thinking of what my next investment will be, even if I already know!

Chorus Aviation Inc. (CHR.B) announced its going to something like double its dividend. I was quite happy, those are great news. I hold CHR.B in my TFSA. I don't know how much my ? prospective ? dividend income will be for 2015. Anyway, I do not focus exclusively on my dividend income. My next investment is probably going to be in Lassonde Industries Inc. (LAS.A) and I would also add in Stantec.

I would do my best to invest more in my TFSA. I wanted to have Saputo - which is my latest investment - in my TFSA, but its still in my non-registered portfolio. Why? Simply because I had spent quite some $$$ and I may take money from my credit line but to do so, I need to have a good margin value...

Anyway, you know the drill, its completed.

I will be however able to cover all expenses, but I may withdraw $200 in cash for my trip in New Brunswick because I had experimented some problems with my credit card when I went home once something like that never happen to me in Montreal - but it happen in my hometown... what a gangster paradise, trying to make money out of fraudulent operations on my credit card. And I also need a coloration and haircut - which probably stand around the 40-$50 even while going at the beauty school. I am in deep need of coloration and hair cut. Like right now.

And now, I am going to watch TV so good night and talk later about money and sex and spending.

What do you want for Christmas Gifts?

I went back to the Source this past evening and I talked to the guy about the fabulous MP3 transformer that I wanted to buy for my brother - but the only problem I got was that if he had one already. So I asked if it could be return. Oh great question to be ask because everything related to MP3, even if its still in the box, it cannot be return or exchange. So knowing that, I gave a call to my brother. So I explain what I saw, that I was very excited about the gift but it wasn't exchangeable in case he already had it and... imagine, he already had it, but had a more expensive version of it. What I was going to offer him cost something like $80+ and the machine is not small, not extremely heavy, but still heavy for a bus ride Montreal-New Brunswick.

And than my brother told me I didn't have to buy him anything.

LOL.

I guess its because HE didn't buy me anything for Christmas. Oh ggeees. But no matter what, I am the oldest, I am the richest, so I am the one buying Christmas gifts for everyone around and its kind of a tradition that I write my name and my brother name to all gifts provided to grandma and the rest because hey, I don't know, but bro is poor. And certainly spend too much.

I have a few great things for my self-employed work. I pass a test and I am going to work verrryyy soon. Nothing illegal, nothing explicit. This blog is enough explicit anyway. And no, I am not going to prostitute myself. That is not what I name as my self-employed work. And I am not a stripper either.

So who I am anyway? I guess you'll simply never know.

But I am happy to have that new gig starting out because you know it like me, I talk and talk and talk about getting more involve in my self-employed work but I never done really anything about it... But I now had acted. So I have 2 self-employed things going on doing what you will never know about and I also work full-time somewhere in Montreal doing X thing that you'll never too probably.

I mean, how can you live like that? How can you stand yourself without looking at my pretty face and pretty me, without knowing me. I am really taking away the dignity of my readers.

For Christmas, I would like:
-A 32" TV
-A new laptop
-A comfortable chair
-A little furniture to put the nice TV on.

Currently, I have a crust on a 32" Insigna TV at Future Shop. Sell end tomorrow at $212 and I have until tomorrow to buy it or not.

Or hey, you could buy it for me, why not?

At TD Waterhouse, Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX) now has a margin loan value of 70%

What does that mean? Well it mean that Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX) worth some valuable money now. If TD Waterhouse increase the margin loan value of HRX, it mean that HRX has now a more reliable value in term of $$$. At TD Waterhouse, Heroux worth 70%. Which mean: if you have a $1 000 invested in Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX), it will procure a $700 cash in loan value. Cool isn't? Very cool, but the 70% value vary depending of the value of the stock, so the amount of the loan value change every second of the trading day. That's the tricky part, but hey, I am now a margin account expert! Oh yeah!

And during that time, Canadian National Railway Company (CNR) has completed it 2 for 1 split. I am kind of lost now in term of value when it come to CNR. I used to see a $118+ value and I used to like the big 3 numbers very much. But it's no longer the same. However, "splitting" are always happy time. It usually help to push over the top the stock value. But no matter what, I preferred my CNR is the 3 numbers data; it use to be my richness, my fancy f expensive stock. I have to say that I had been pretty good over my CNR investment. I made several investments over the years in CNR and it paid off. For the upcoming years, I just need to keep being that of a smart ass and invest in many many other $$$ companies.

And of those $$$ companies is: Lassonde Industries Inc. (LAS.A). One of my old time reader who used to work for me for free - sex appeal make man do crazy things - who came with that genius stock idea. Ever since, I didn't invested in LAS.A, reason behind that the dividend yield is terribly tiny little but hey, these days, I would be interested in making a small investment in Lassonde Industries Inc. (LAS.A), maybe it will be my next investment.

Ok, some of you might thing, crazy bitch, all over the place. A mess of a portfolio of yeah sir. Well, fact is, I invest in stuff that I feel I have somewhat an attraction too. But its not all of sex appeal. I love to get a new stock in my portfolio: what is that stock could be THE STOCK to make me rich? I already made several thousands on CNR, PPL, MX and a bunch of other. It can certainly continue this way. And certainly, other good discoveries can be made.

So if you kind of reading a fabulous pink blog telling that Lassonde Industries Inc. (LAS.A) could be a good stock idea to invest in, well you know, just go for the wild ride. GO FOR IT.

I would certainly GO FOR IT myself too but I am missing up some cash, and the Holiday season is not helping. I already had purchased a Cineplex gift card to my brother but while looking at TVs at the Source, I saw something amazing: its a machine on which you can make play Vinyl CD (you know the old CDS?) and you can get that transfer over an mp3 format... My bro had hundreds of hundreds if not thousands of Vinyl CDs... So imagine the fun of getting all those in a mp3 format. WOW WACKED! The fabulous machine cost like $70... probably $85 I guess after taxes. Next time I will post it on my blog. What a nice gift. My bro is going to me soooooooooo shockkkkkkkk.

I love you even if I don't always like you and even if I yell at you sometimes and also when I say ugly things about your ex girlfriends. I cannot help it. Got to say something or yell.

DON'T TELL MY BRO ABOUT IT OK? Its our secret. Shut!

This is why I am broke and still going to be broke. Have happy broke Holidays.

Two naked men and a Dividend Girl

Humm... Wonder what this blog title post mean hein? Well, check it out for yourself folks, I was really with 2 naked men...:

After doing my Black Friday shopping downtown Montreal, I walked my way back home. I was at the corner of Sherbrooke and St-Urbain when suddenly I saw two naked men running down the stairs of a Karaoke bar... They run all their way down the hill and came back a few minutes later, still naked..., and get back in the establishment. And of course, I was there! The timing was RIGHT ON! Weird, but isn't a great way to start a weekend? Whatever! LOL!!!

I went shopping and I saw a great Insignia 32" TV for only $212.49 at the Future Shop. the sale is on going until December 5th.

I saw a Toshiba TV at The Source for $272, also a "32 one. I was impress by the Insignia one, very good price and a good quality in the screen, the color were vibrant, clear. So I might purchase that TV. I am very tempted!

During my Black Friday shopping trip, I made a fabulous discovery at La Baie. La Baie is certainly my favorite Montreal store. The place is fantastic and its located in a beautiful building. And its at La Baie that discover a wonderful perfume: Si by Giorgio Armani. What an amazing perfume. Its very hard to describe. It outcast Dior all the way. But Si IS expensive. I didn't check on the price at La Baie, but at Jean Coutu, a 75 ml was $75...

Another perfume that I like very much is Trésor by Lancôme, absolutely stunning. La Vie est Belle is also a good one.

My favorite smooth criminal voice crush of the moment: Jason Statham

Ahhhh JASON, JASON, JASON. There's something about Jason Statham. I saw Homefront tonight and I find it very great. Once again, Sylvester Stallone makes the action vibe in the land of the hot Louisiana, beautiful pictures. Stallone movies are always so great. There's that one actress I haven't seen in a real time: Winona Ryder. And James Franco may had in Homefront the role of his career. You'll see, Franco can be a good actor.

I also went for a little shopping before going to the theater and it was fun. Jason Statham is my new boy toy.

My non-registered portfolio closed at a majestic $128 069.50. Hot and classy, that's what it is! My non-registered portfolio never hit that far. Go go go, all of my stocks of my portfolio, go go go.

So where is the f stock market correction Gordon Pape? WHERE. Tell your rich friends of the gold club its not going happen soon because I am in the game pappy.

See, there's people like that I cannot stand. Gordon Pape belong to another world.

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY. DO I LIKE FRIDAYS oh yeah. F Work.

You can do it Heroux-Devrek Inc. (HRX), up up up! Go go go!

Its a Tuesday night and I am currently doing my laundry because I had so much to do. I am older now and I started realizing that my mom is no longer there to do my laundry and clean the place, cook my meals.... Ah miss you mommy! So since I start realizing I need to care of myself by my own (that happen in my thirties...), I do more cleaning, laundry, cooking. As I grow older I am getting cleaner and cleaner. I am no mommy little girl anymore. While doing my laundry, we are getting our first snow in Montreal! The first snow is always very exciting. But because its getting dark at something like 5 pm these days, no way I will be able to enjoy the view anytime soon before the weekend. But guess what, there's will be another weekend in only 3 days now. Park Lafontaine is my favorite spot to go during the first snow. Its absolutely stunning and marvelously wonderful. I would be damn lucky to be renting and apartment over there. But it's not cheap.

I must be getting older because today I saw a 32'' LG plasma TV on sale at The Source for only $322 before tax. I taught it was a sweet deal and I REALLY wanted that TV and I suddenly was in need for a couch, a TV and CABLE. Isn't this horrible? lol... I don't have a nice fancy chair to put my booty on and its sure I miss comfort at a point. But I never wanted to buy anything for my apartment in case I needed to move to get a job, in case something happen and whatever else. Fact that I live in Quebec and not feeling 100% home is not helping either. I don't necessarily  hate Quebeckers only to hate them, but I dislike very much their politics, their choices and what they had become as a society. Like this is not me. This is not me at all. I am in favor for the rights of religion, but Quebec now decided to follow the footsteps of France, which is totally disgusting. God will forgive those damn Quebeckers, but I will never forgive them. I am the Dividend Girl that I am because God built myself that way. Smart, ingenious and sexy - maybe not as much as Kate Moss but nevermind Kate Moss ok I am tired of her!!! Cocaine made her sexy among the way, not God. That is my view on Kate Moss. No one can pose like that, its not natural. Its the HIGH in the sky effect, I am telling you. I AM TIRED OF KATE MOSS.

And also well you know me, all my money goes over my portfolio, its a real rage, I cannot control it. I need to invest or I don't exist. And this blog doesn't exist too - see what I mean? Bu t the Black Friday is coming and I might shop around for a more comfortable chair for my 33 booty beautiful butt getting confy.

State of mind.

Imagine, I had been checking on my portfolio and I NO LONGER experiencing a loss on my Exchange Income Fund (EIF) investment; I am even at at profit of more $100 now. I was soo release! Because as you know - because I wrote about it - not so long ago, I had experienced a loss of 1k over EIF!

Also recently, HRX seriously begin to kick some ass! I had invested in HRX a little way back in other to touch their $5 per share special dividend - THAT WAS HOT, THAT WAS GREAT - can I have another one like that one PLEASE. I heard that Sears was going to pay a special dividend, which I find very stupid because their losing money like crazy but hey, cannot have it all like the Dividend Girl ok.

So the thing is, I had kept in my portfolio Heroux-Devtek Inc. (HRX) after they pay a dividend because I find the company was cool and now, I am only experiencing a lost of something like $60 on the stock. Isn't great? A loss is a loss, but its getting better. And I notice that all of what I had named my troublemaker stocks, they are all going better, like CPG, VSN, NFI.

Like the old Gordon Pape and his rich friends of the gulf club are waiting for a FF stock corrections, I am, the Dividend Girl waiting for richness to happen and it will happen. Kate Moss had her destiny, I  got mine and time for Gordon Pape to call for a retirement because I don't want to read about a poor dude annoying announcing that a stock market correction is about to happen.

Stock correction happen ALL the time for a reason another, Euro, US, Canada, China. What is wrong with Gordon Pape? Its because of its age.

Dieting, Kate Moss, PlayBoy and my portfolio

It was super cold in Montreal today. However, its the day I had chosen to shop for my Christmas and Holidays cards. I almost done. If you need inspiration on what to buy for family and friends, you can check on my purchases right here.

I started the weekend on Friday by cleaning my place and moving stuff around. I have a bit more space the way things are displayed now. The cleaning continue on Saturday and I only went out to purchased some of my meal replacements at Shoppers - 6 at $6.99, good deal. I am obviously still dieting and its going on great. I am dieting harder these days because I know that with the Holidays season coming, I will be eating some cakes and delicious home meals. So I am getting ready to gain a few pounds, but I need to lose more now... Because I know too well that I will gain weight... that's almost 100 % sure. Drinking is not helping either during that happy period.

I am still getting on the scale everyday and its really helping me to stay on a diet moon. For breakfast, I usually get oatmeal or 2 raisin breads with orange juice and of course a coffee. For snack, around 10, I get an apple or orange. For lunch, I drink a meal replacement. And when I get hungry again, I eat an apple. Once home, I made myself a soup. And I sometime get some pieces of dark chocolate (it supposed to help lose weight). And truly, its all going great. I sometime get myself some salmon for dinner. I also like cucumbers and a diet classic.... celery. I also try really really hard to drink at least 3 big cups of tea per day but I don't always. I sometime bring 2 bold eats at work. I like bold eggs. And I also like oranges and clementines.

I am dieting since the beginning of September now. I guess I will need an extra 3 months to get where I want to be. Some people made me the remark that I loss weight and I was yeah, I am. I try to lose weight without going to the gym. It will make me feel very bad to spend an $80 if not more monthly on a gym membership. So I prefer to eat much less and drink my meal replacements for lunch. I got use to the taste, its not that bad... And with the mix of vegetables and fruit I am eating, I am getting everything I need. I just bought 2 steaks today at the grocery. I will have one done for dinner tomorrow.

In order to lose weight, there's no magic trick.

Among the process, I eat a lot less than what I used to. Like today, I got breakfast at Mike's on St-Catherine, I guess it was around 10 h 30 and I haven't eat since that time. Great news, I don't even feel hungry. The best would be for me to eat a little something but I would like to lose those extra pounds as quickly possible. And trust me, I am not the fragile little girl. And I am going to kick Kate Moss ass naked.

So I really hope to get my very own personal naked calendar for 2014. Like Kate Moss, she's 40 and she's doing the cover of PlayBoy and her body line is just as gorgeous as ever. I don't think I wil be able to outpass the beautiful body of Kate Moss, but I can certainly have a beautiful body and kick some ass out there that's for sure.

The cost of the calendar? Its not been fixed yet. And naked calendar, only in your wildest dream fools ya!

I am jealous of Kate Moss. Being 40 and so outrageous, you need to be wild. Another wild bitch like Raymi the Minx.

I haven't proceed with any contribution in kind over my TFSA. Fact is, my Saputo investment injected more than $600 in loan value over my margin... I am very tempted to keep Saputo in my non-registered part, but on the other hand, I have like $15k contribution room left over my TFSA... Its always a mess up and a played game, but I need to get more good stuff inside my TFSA. I don't think I will made new by the end of 2013 because with Christmas coming on stuff, its certainly like $600 that is going away too quickly.

When the name barely meet the standard anymore: Jean-Francois Tardif. And nope, you won't know my name anytime soon

A day after my investment made in Saputo Inc. (SAP), my non-registered portfolio closed today session at $127 823.48, +13.60%. Things are certainly getting better. And I can keep going like this in a good market condition, I will be fine. I am still thinking of adding Stantec in later on.

For now, a few things are catching my attention on fire.

First of all, Exchange Income Corporation (EIF). That stock in a major holding of mine. It crash a couple of weeks ago and I was there in a capital loss of more than $700, maybe even 1k, I don't remember exactly. But what I do remember is that I used to be on the deep red with this one. but for now, I am only at -$271. My position in EIF is getting a lot better now. Its never easy for a face a crash inside a stock but when it happen, ask yourself, the famous question: WHY?

Where is coming the loses? Is it in result of a stock crash? In my case with EIF, there wasn't a stock crash at that time. Did the company announced bad news? at the time EIF crash, nothing was going on. There was no reason behind this capital loss, if not a massive sale off. Investors had decided to sell in order to benefit some valuable capital gains. The most hilarious part is that I had wrote before on my intention to MAYBE partly sell my holding in EIF... And that crash happen...

EIF will gain in value again, it just take time to recover from such crash in the value.

The JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) is finally getting into the right direction. It was about time. Will Jean-Francois Tardif be able to perform like he used to be? Ok, I remember the guy saying that a 6% was a good result in an interview. What the. I can do better than a 6%, so why can't he? Its because Jean-Francois Tardif is a lazy Quebecker. That's why. But at least the lazy didn't make me lose any money yet so I will hold on. But I am extremely disappointed because the management fees on JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) are very high.

I guess many other investors got fool by the famous made.

CDL.A had changed of name and quote symbol. I just find it very stupid because the new name is very similar to what it used to be.

I hope to see my holding in NFI, CPG, VSN in positive territory soon but for that, I need a good stock market condition.

Let's make another post out of this! For the love of those TD Waterhouse brokers

Why not?

I finally got a TD Waterhouse broker over the phone - the English ONLY speaking type of broker - see what I mean? And I explain that I had made an investment in my non-registered account today and that I wanted to take that investment and get it transferred over my TFSA TODAY.

After all, I am a TD princess.

I have the big margin, the big credit card, the big credit lines. What does it take more for those little sexy brokers to take me seriously? COME ON GUYS.

Well, ahaha, sometime, things don't get my way.

I did a couple of times contribution in kind. Contribution in kind is when you take an existing investment of your non-registered portfolio and get it transfer over. And than, the magical question being ask, the highest or lowest point of the day. And after, the transfer is being done.

Ok, cool, but why cannot be done this time?

Because the settlement date need to be reach. So I will need to wait until November 21st.

Its nothing of an embarrassment of anything like that because I had a feeling that a waiting period was needed. No one can do anything with a stock within a day, if not just sell it. To sell and buy, no problem, to get in right on time before for dividend, you need to invest 3 business days before the date giving, etc. etc. etc.

Having a lot of fun with TD Waterhouse.

Anyway, may Saputo Inc. (SAP) bring on a lot of richness to my portfolio and GLOW.

Welcome in my TFSA portfolio Saputo Inc. (SAP)!

For once, you'll be happy, I listen to my readers advice! LOL

Well, not exactly, here's what happen. Saputo first bit in that company located in Australia, but they had lost the deal, but shortly after, they back in into it (last Friday) and now, chances are that its Saputo who's going to win the battle. But nothing is sure still yet. Anyhow, I am pretty sure this deal will go through so this is why I decided to invest in Saputo.

Stantec still have a hot appeal, but with that deal going on in Australia, I decided I wanted to be part of the fun!

Since I wake up late, I put the trade in my non-registered account. I am currently waiting over the phone for a TD Waterhouse broker to take my call and I am waiting, waiting and waiting... All that work for a tiny small investment... I mean, hot brokers, I love you all.

There's nothing sexier than a stock broker wearing a suit. It drive me crazy and TD Waterhouse brokers at the Eaton Center are quite hot.

Today, the US stock market hit the 16k mark, so I guess that special event explain why there's such a waiting delay in order to get one of those hot TD Waterhouse broker over the phone. I mean, talk to me baby.

I definitely need to invest in extra quality stocks. It will help me to recover from all my past mistakes. But I have to say, no matter what, most of the moves were great. I am not in a hole here. Its just I need to invest more in quality stock and watch out my gambling taste, hold on, breath. Can I seriously do that? That's what we'll find out!

I am still waiting over the phone for a TD Waterhouse broker!!!

I can easily see myself investing later on in Stantec that's for sure.

Other than the deal in Australia, another think I consider while looking at Saputo Inc. (SAP) is Susan Brunner blog. Saputo used to be among her biggest hold. If you perform a search on Susan Brunner blog for Saputo, you'll only read some nice interesting stuff. Her search engine is at the upper corner left.

Saputo won't bring on a lot in term of dividend, but it could over the long run and it will certainly bring on a nice capital gain. Despite the fact that I am a Dividend Girl, I try not to focus on dividend anymore while investing. High dividend yield = death row. The key for young investor is to keep playing on for the long run, there's no other options.

I was kind of lost over my TFSA contribution limit. So I place a call to Canada Revenue Agency Tax information line and I got the answer right away. Once this Saputo investment transfer over my TFSA, I will have left a bit more than 13k left available as contribution room. And in 2013, it will be another $5 500 that I will be allow to invest, for a total of almost $18 000.

Its really important to keep track of your TFSA contribution limit because if you exceed the contribution rights, you'll have a SUPER huge penalty to pay. You really don't want that to happen. To find out how much contribution room left you have, call the number, find out the contribution room allow for 2013 and you MINUS - the amount to what you already contribute to 2013. And voilà, you'll get the magic number.

For my part, I knew for sure that I still had contribution room left, it was just a matter to know how much. And I really didn't want to mess up. I still have over 13k left for 2013, that's quite a lot of money. From now on, all of my future investments will be made inside my TFSA. I have soo much in contribution room, its unbelievable. But its not really my fault, its all the fault of my margin.

While having a margin, it can be extra hard to invest outside the non-registered part because once you start a margin, all your world get control by it. and to star safe and secure, the only thing you can do is:
1) To invest more inside the non-registered portfolio; or
2) Pay the margin down.

There're not a million solutions.

But currently, I have a 10k credit line at RBC that is completely paid off. I have over 10k credit card at a bit more than 9%. I have a 10k credit line at 9% and also a 5k at 8.75%, etc... I have cash, but its cash available on credit lines and credit cards.

i have now left more than 17k cash on my margin. That's not exactly a lot, but my personal goal was to have at least a 15k left available on margin so I am now exceeding the goal. This is the reason why I feel comfortable now to place more and more investment inside the TFSA.

The best way to deal with a margin is to know your limits, follow the stock market day-per-day and really, everything should go fine. I don't know for how long I had my margin account now, but its been a little while. And time had come to extend my life to a little bit more than just a f margin account, sorry for the world, but it sound just perfectly at its place with the margin.

I am still waiting online for a TD Waterhouse broker to answer... Will someone answer soon?

Review of my first shopping trip to Target, Place Alexis-Nihon, Montreal

It was a beautiful sunny day today and the weather was nice for a November day. Knowing that the Target store was finally open at the Place Alexis-Nihon, I walked my way to the to the mall very excited. But my excitement didn't worth it. Target is just another version of Zellers, in a real replica state. There is good price on some items, but most items are at the same price, if not higher than what you can find at Shoppers or Jean Coutu. Target is only another store like any other else. However, it make another store to check on for sale and bargains.

For my first time at Target, I bought for $17.83 of stuff find below.

Picture may be upload later on if I don't forget, but I guess you all know what Ivory soap and shampoo look like, among other.

I didn't find any good reduction on makeup so I didn't buy any, but I find a few things at great price. I was impressed by the low cost of their body soap and anti-antiperspirant but that was about it... I bought an Apricot facial scrub (their brand, Up & Up) at $2.69 - I usually buy the St-Yves Apricot facial scrub for a bit more; a Dove Cleartone anti-antiperspirant at $ 3.49 - it can be as much as $5+ at Shoppers (but I also saw some other brands at $2 at Target); a box of Quaker at $2 (good for my diet!); 10 Ivory soaps for $3 (at the Dollorama store, I get 3 soaps for $1,50); Herbal Essence shampoo at $1.99 and an apple cider mix for $2.99 - and it doens't taste very good but I wanted to give it a try.

Interesting savings can be made at Target, but only on some items. I guess Target is another option for shoppers, but its not the ultimate saving spot.

It could worth it to get an RBC Target credit card. It give a 5% reduction on all purchases. Add that to their normal sales, it could add up some great value, on the purchase of a few items, but not everything they have on store.

I wasn't that much impress by my first stop at Target, I was expecting much lower prices.

Genevieve Sabourin hitting on Rivers Island jail, the most dangerous place in the USA

I like it very much when the TSX closed in the high... and today was one of those good market days. My non-registered portfolio closed the day at $126 794.54, which is the highest ever my portfolio ever ever went to. I taught it was cool when I hit the 100k. I taught it was very good at 120k. And how we're on rad for the 130k. And I just keep thinking: wowwwww that was EASY!  But I know that you know that in fact, it haven't been easy, especially with all those motions, stock keep crashing from time to time, Euro, silver crash, gold crash and you know the rest by heart.

I made a deposit of a bit more than a 1k on my margin account during my lunch time so I was all ready to place a new trade but nothing happen. It was extra busy at work and I just had no time left after I went to the bank. So nothing is getting push and I get on my move closer. Its been a long week and I had been dreaming of this weekend all week long. I need to accumulate good investments stuff in order to move on. And Stantec inc. (STN) is very appealing. Its the power of attraction.

This is exactly what I taught but I had to search to find out that this was really real: the poor Genevieve Saboutin is going to spend 7 months in the same jail were Natalie McLennan spent some
time in when she was 24 years old: Rikers Island. And at Rikers Island, do you know what they do with inmates suffering psychologically like Sabourin? If they are taking too much time out of the officers, they put them in isolation. Rikers Island is known to be one of the most violent prison of the US. And its were Genevieve Sabourin is about to spend 7 months of her life. What will be left of her after?

In both cases, Genevieve Sabourin and Natalie McLennan plead not guilty and that certainly help them in the process. That's another point they have in common. Its all a matter of getting the right lawyer. A good lawyer would had tell tell to plead guilty and their sentences would had been reduced. Because both of them were guilty anyway, its just sometime its hard to face the true.

Anyway, sorry to bring on Natalie McLennan again but she's truly a fascination and her book is really well written. Back in October of this year, a television series came out of her story. i just hope she had touched some loyalties because far are the days were she could make $2 000 per hour just by turning on men. That's double of 2 weeks of my salary....

But hey, we all have our addictions. Some are addicted to crack like Rob Ford, some are are addicted to Alec Baldwin, for other its sex and cocaine... And for me, well, you already know my addictions.

Have a good Saturday.

Up close and personal with Alec Baldwin, the man who couldn't keep his pants on in front of b@tches

Today is a very sad day. I was shocked to learn that Genevieve Sabourin will have to do 7 months in a US prison in her case against Alec Baldwin. But I have to say, her behavior in court certainly didn't. From what I understand, the judge gave her an extra 30 days because she was always interrupting the procedures. Any judges would have do the same. I know the court, I had been there once. And I don't understand why her lawyer didn't advise her to shut the hell up! But I guess he might had done so.

It seem to me that Genevieve Sabourin had been left behind by everyone. She may had a personal intercourse with Alec Baldwin, and knowing the reputation of the man, she certainly had so, and she may even had sex with him. All those things are very great, but once Alec was no longer interested, she shouldn't push it that far. It appear to me that she might still be in love with him. More than a prison sentence, she need psychological help. And I think Alec did not understand that part and I find it very mean in a way. He suddenly left her and Genevieve had been lost ever since. That's what happen. And now her heart is broken and she could face severe depression in the following months. Because its not even 30 days that the poor girl will have to spend in prison: its 7 months!!!

She's going to prison, and during that time, Alec is free to go, even if he had cheat on his wife. Life is unfair, but bitches have to deal with that kind of shit. However, Genevieve Sabourin is not a player. Her feeling were real, Alec broke her heart, she wanted her revenge, but it didn't work out.

Of course not. You always have to watch your back when you are around rich people like that. Enjoy what pass by, but when its over, its over. And I wonder why Genevieve didn't understand that. After all, Genevieve Sabourin is not a 20 or 30 something fresh hot chick.. she's old, she's 41!!! So I don't get it that she couldn't put herself together. Didn't she had anything better to do instead of Twitting all day long and giving interviews and so on? Her showtime last for a couple of months but nothing good is now left.

USA prisons are very bad and unsafe places to be. I remember reading Natalie McLennan - another Montrealer who spent sometime time in New York and also spent some time in a US prison - and I remember, even now, how awful it seem to be. And its just very unfortunate that Genevieve have to go through the same rough pattern. And when you think about it, there's quite similarities between Genevieve Sabourin and Natalie McLennan. And its sad, because what do you imagine Genevieve can do now to pay her lawyer fees and everything else? Its not just a 80k like me that she might be in debt. Prostitution? Escorting? Its not by being a yoga teacher she'll be able to make it happen. And prostitution is not an option. So she might declare bankruptcy but I don't know if she can do that while being in prison. I just hope for her she'll get sometime to put her stuff in order before going to prison and once back, it will be time to find work and I hope she'll find peace.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot completely understand Genevieve Sabourin.

That's enough about the other bitches, let's go back to ME please.

My non-registered portfolio is hitting on the $126 081.19. Watching it going over 125k is what? Fantastic. And after that, I am being call a cheap entertainer? WHAT???? Get out of here.

One day, I will follow a yoga class with Natalie McLennan.

Are you money disease free? I am NOT

I am getting paid in 2 days and I have to admit; I had been thinking more and more of adding a new investment in so I can catch up with the losses I am currently experiencing with Data Group Inc. (DGI). I made my investment in DGI a very long time ago. The dividend was just tooo sexy and juicy. I couldn't resist. And the stock by itself was interesting too I mean, it was in field of interest to me. And its not the first time I am experiencing a crash in the value of Data Group.

Currently, I am much more tempted to invest than just put the money on my margin. We talk about Canadian Tire, a reader talk about Saputo... I mean sure, if I had money, I would be investing in both companies. My interest is to get rich by investing in Canadian stocks. Is that impossible, even for me who's mostly tempt to fall into temptations (money, sex, food...). We don't have that big talk about my sex life here, but you can get at least the vibes of it. As for food, I am still on a diet and I am doing great. I lost close to 15 pounds so far and if I could lose another 15 pounds, if not more, well you know, it wouldn't hurt me, if not only my fantastic curves. Yes, I really have it all, its up to you to get the perfect picture.

So in other words, you are getting the very best of me on this blog. And I know you cannot get enough of me. And I cannot get enough of the stock market. My problem is that even while holding a bunch of debt; I cannot stop investing. I am powerless in front of the stock market. Some have gambling problems, others, like Toronto Mayor, crack problems, some other quite liars, hypocrites. I have that sense of perfection very deep inside of me. I am not jealous or anything else you could imagine. I only have one big hell of a problem. I cannot stop investing. I cannot stop trading. I cannot stop looking at the stock market every hours of the day. I am an addict. And I am ALWAYS trying to get on my next investment. Its an eternal search for finding the next new stocks that will make me rich. Its the eternal try to get back on my feet when I mess up with a bad investment. And I certainly mess up a thousands times. And I also succeeded certainly a lot more times.

I think I had learned the lessons I needed to learn but I needed to do things my way. But what lesson anyway? I am still super close tot he 100k net work and is that doesn't mean much to you, well it mean of a big deal to me. And I am more than certainly 6k in dividend income. I am not suppose to have those several thousands worth in investments. I am not supposed to have available 4 times my salary worth in credit. I don't have the profile. I am not a money magnet in my essence. I am not earning that much money either.

Its start gradually for the better and worst and the better may be set to come because on Friday, just watch me invest in MY NEXT investment: Stantec Inc. (STN). I know, I also have that disease that make me invest in stocks when they are at their highest value. Sorry, but I am suffering from a lot of money disease.

I hope at least that I kept you entertain.

It's a rough time for Data Group Inc. (DGI) investors

I was happy that the weekend finally was over because I had worked all weekend long on a little job for my self-employed work. I am just happy to be done with it. and this weekend, they had their first snow at home in New Brunswick. These days, when I leave work at 5 pm.... its dark. And its getting a lot colder too. So this is really the perfect time to get back on my feet in term of self-employed work and see what I can find. Despite what I work before, I haven't try to get on anything. Fact is, I love to have my weekend offs and I love to have my evenings...

But now, because the Stop Working is almost dead in the sense it will require me another 100k to 200k in portfolio to make it easy, I decided its time to go. And especially now, because my Data Group Inc. (DGI) had decreased in value AND dividend income. To catch up from such disaster, there's not too many ways... got to invest again some fresh new cash in a new better investment.

At this point, if I sell my Data Group Inc. (DGI) shares, I will be loosing too much. and there's could be change it got better there. I like what the CEO said about the company, that they had a nice client portfolio but they needed to develop their technical side. If they add Internet stuff with their current printing activities, it could work well. Like a big communication firm. At a point, the company need to make money. I understand that - I have a business myself lol...

I am getting my pay this week, its probably going straight to my margin, which is at $54 500 at this time, with a margin value left of 17k+. I need to decrease the using of my margin to at least 50k, and if possible 40k. I think I am more in control now of my margin, its just I need to decrease its using.

I haven't update my dividend income because f, its going low AGAIN. So I am just ignoring the numbers for now and I am going to work. I wake up earlier today, that's why you are getting this morning post. And its a surprise because I usually really enjoy my morning sleep beauty. There's no better time, even alone in bed.

Could Canadian Tire be a good fit to my portfolio and what happen on the day that Derek Foster open the blinds and other things

Not too long ago, I invested in CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN). Its sexy 6.5% dividend yield is what appeal me. But also, fact that Canadian Tire is generating about 90% of its cash in term of property renting or whatever it is, well, that was also quite appealing. Because see, I am dangerously in need of big dividend yield AND conservative business, steady, easy.

Canadian Tire alone as stock is a little boring for young and fresh investor like myself because what we want first is the money, we want to big yield, so we are willing to jump on anything among the way that promises that. And 6.5% is an impressive yield knowing that blue chips usually pay a lot less than that. Big yields are always pretty sexy and impressive at first,  but I guess you learn, by reading this very precious blog, that yield is not everything. So I try to invest in blue chips and I did very well with CNR, SJ, TRP among other. And I also did bad on various other stocks but that's another story and anyway, I wrote about those other stories before.

The most recent newsletter of Derek Foster make me realize in what a f mess I was in. Want to make a living out of dividend? GOOD LUCK BECAUSE YOU'LL NEED SOME. With all my efforts, I am only at 6 500+ in dividend income. But why is it so low in regard of the thousands invested? One major problem that young people are facing in today economy is that good quality stock only now pay a very little dividend yield. A safe and reasonable dividend is anywhere below 6%. After 6%, you are dealing with stock players like Just Energy Group Inc. (JE). The dividend yield of JE is more than 11%. That is not really reasonable. I am a mega fan of Just Energy and I probably always be just in regard of the personable story of its founder Rebecca MacDonald. But I know too much on how many problems represent a high dividend yield. Usually, when a company like JE decided to decrease its dividend distribution, its stock value decrease as well. That is what happen to me with Colabor Group Inc. (GCL).GCL decrease its dividend and following what, its stock money value decreased as well.

But a cut in the dividend distribution doesn't always = to a loss in the value of the stock. This was a long long time ago, but back in the times, PGF had declared a dividend cut and following what, I rush to sell my stocks. But following the news, the stock price remains the same. So those things are a bit unpredictable. No one can really know what will happen to the value of a stock following a dividend cut, but most of the time, the price stock will decline in value.

Ok, well, what all this blablabla really about?

Well, 2 days ago, I realize that I would have to work very very hard to be able to retire from my dividend in a very shocking way. It all happen following the reading of Derek Foster latest newsletter.

In that paper, Derek explains that before 2006, before the income trust begin to be heavily tax, well before, it was easy to make money from dividend. And even before that, the stock market was a gold mine. It appears to me that it was a lot easier before than now. Derek Foster doesn't even hold any of the stocks he talked about in his Stop working book that was first published... in 2005. That was one year BEFORE the bullshit happen to what use to me the most extraordinary cash maker of Canadian history, what I used to call my ".UN investments". I had just a little invested and cash was coming OH MY GOD. It was HOT.

But came 2006 and after that the crash of 2008 and than suddenly Derek Foster got scared and sell ALL of his portfolio. He later came himself an idiot for doing so, but he's been doing even better ever since...

This mean that our mentality have to change. We need to stop focusing big time over dividend yield. Small investors like myself who don't have a lot of cash to invest really have to do it the right way. Because you don't get a second chance. When you lose money on the stock market, the money is loss forever, there's nothing you can do about it. Did I loss money on stock market? Oh yeah! And did I make some? Yeah yeah.

Being in a circular bear market shit is certainly not helping. Me and Derek Foster, we have exactly 10 years apart. Derek is 10 years older that I am. If I would have invested 10 years ago is stocks, maybe I wouldn't be writing this shitty blog right now. I would had grow fabulously rich! But I was too. young 10 years ago and worst, I didn't have any money. When I complete school, if had about 15k in my bank account, but its all what I had to start my adult life on.

I think the worst part is that the Stop Working book of Derek Foster is selling a dream that is no longer possible. And believe it or not, I only understood that about 2 days ago. The worst is to sell a dream, an impossible dream.

But the dream is possible. I mean, you just have to look at my very own situation to understand. The dream is not impossible, but FFF difficult!!! OH YEAH!!

Growing up, I never been money oriented, and I still the same now. But I looking to do the best I can with what I have. And we should do all the same. No one was there for me when I was getting those hours cut at this job, or being laid off from this job, going to court against my employer on another occasion etc. No one was there. And its what you have to understand that while facing money problem, no one will be there for you too. We live in a world that is shit. That is why you have to make the commitment to be stronger than your enemies and one big part of the game is get richer than they are. And trust me, even at not even 100k net worth, I am a lot richer than a lot of people that piss on me.

Saving money, investing, none of those things are difficult. Is just a matter of finding your way. One reason I am not leaving Derek Foster alone is that - even if he build up an impossible or FFF dificult dream in the Stop Working, he help to explain how, at least to go somewhere. PPL, CDL.A, ENF, ENB, PGF, TIM, and a few other are Derek Foster stocks. I had build the roots of my portfolio making several thousands on PPL and a bunch of other. I got my shares of Methanex way back at something like $15. And now my margin is left at 18k... Like this portfolio cannot to be vain. It went through all a series of unforgettable stock crash, Japan tsunami, etc, etc. Like remember how many things we went through and survive?

Well it was all because of the blue chips I hold. And in order to remain healthy, I need to invest more and more on blue chips. That's the lesson of the day I wanted to share. There's no way you'll make your way by only buying stuff that pay a yield of 6%+. The dividend dream is vanity, its a blush on your eyes. But time to see clear now.

The dividend income will be small at first but in a decade of so, it could worth a LOT more. What is the trouble to wait a decade or two to be able to get all of your live just for you?

But before that, a good stock to hold would be Canadian Tire. The company is doing great and has increase its dividend yield of 25%.

Do it like a cowboy and hold to it.

STOP WORKING, but LATER. :)

Dividend investing: for the better and worst

While Toronto mayor John Ford is getting high on crack and alcohol in Toronto, us, on our side, here in Montreal, our dividend income is going down!

Sometime, shit happen. Its sad, but life is like that. Its just a matter of what you are going to do next as sexy move. Get high or work up your ass, its your own choice to make. I made a great start, I did some laundry tonight ;)

Ok, more seriously now.

It may not seem like it at first, but when you begin your financial life, start putting some money aside, start investing and stuff, well, very quickly, that financial part slowly but certainly take more and more place into your life. Well it did actually to me. Just have a quick look at my portfolio and check on all my holdings... I am saying I doing exactly and always the best of the best choices, but I am not that all bad. Again today, my non-registered portfolio closed at 125k+. I will say that things are doing well, but it's difficult.

Its not that all easy to be an investor and to be a dividend investor. On a day like today, nothing is easy. A while back, I was earning more than 7k in dividend income (that was excluding my RRSP). And today, I am making less income. Why? Because some holders I have made the decision to cut on their dividend distribution. And trust me, when that happen it hurt. It hurt real bad. Because the only source of steady income is steaming away.

Today, EnCana declared a dividend distribution of 0.07 cents per share payable on December 31. Nothing wrong, you'll say? Well usually, EnCana Corporation (ECA) distribution is of 0.2075 per share. It doesn't mean EnCana dividend will remain  this low forever, but let say it sincerely: this suck!

If I consider that EnCana distribution would be of $0.28 annually, after adding my newest CRT.UN in the count, my annual dividend income is of $6 574 excluding RRSP. Its not too bad, but I use to earn more than that. I currently have $7 241.96 invested in stuff like FR, JFS.UN, PHS.UN and PSLV. Those investments don't provide any dividend return. It could be easy to reinvest the money in dividend players and mixing for a 5% yield. Such solution is available. I could do so, but I don't. Because I hope silver will go up again.

I am really not concern over FR. I am pretty sure First Majestic Silver Corp (FR) will go up again one of these days. Its just a matter of when. It could take sometime, but I am not in a rush to sale. As for the other silver stuff I hold, I had been holding it for quite sometime. There's been that period where I was buying-selling, buying-selling silver on short period of time, and I was making small profits for those trades. It was fun, but came a time where I could no longer make those moves, silver had declined in value - and that being really suddenly, like BOOM. And I got F. lol

Trading is dangerous because at one corner, when you don't suspect anything, you get stuck. Impossible to sell at profit. That what kill me somewhere. But I am not dead.

You survive from those things but it just take some time to recover. I guess one day in the future I will making 10k in dividend and one day, I won't even remember that I had wrote this post. It is your job to always remember, not mine.

Welcome in my TFSA portfolio CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN)!

I place my call to TD Waterhouse in the middle of the afternoon, I was about to run to their office at the Eaton Centre, but finally someone answer. I had a $715 transferred over my TFSA account. Following the transfer of funds, the broker was able to place the trade for me. I order 100 units of CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN) at a max price of $10.40. My order go through immediately at $10.39. And CRT.UN closed today session at $10.39.

I am very please with this new investment. Unless I change my mind or win the jackpot by the end of 2014, this investment will probably be the last one for 2013. So far, 2013 had been a god year overall. I tried to be extra careful on my new investments. I won't make a review of my 2013 investment year yet, but really, so far so good.

Currently my non-registered portfolio is at $125 039.17. Anywhere over 125k is reallll good for me.

I am happy with my investment in CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN) because I feel it has a good chance to grow strong. Its not hard for me to imagine CRT.UN trading at $15 per share. Maybe it could be the case in 2-3 years, I don't know. I hope for a grow, for a good steady dividend. For now, CRT.UN has fill all those promises, since its inspection, CRT.UN just keep growing and I guess that the first monthly distribution will be on November 15th. I feel like this is a conservative investment and its the row I want to follow.

I burn myself quite seriously on gold, silver, Sprott Inc. (SII), DGI, Colabor, and a few other. So I have a lot of catching up to do. I hope 2014 will just continue in the same way. Just good investment, nothing too adventurous for once.

CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN) belong to my portfolio and now it is. So enjoy.

A REIT of interest: CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN)

I am quite please with the current state of my investment portfolio. So far, good results, I have over 17k left over my margin account. What can I ask more? Well, this is exactly where the problem is. While investing, you always want MORE and you can always do BETTER. Currently, I am at an annual dividend income of $6 567.83, for the equivalent of $547. And of course, I am looking t increasing the number. And for that, I need some stuff like CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN) in my portfolio. I am naturally attracted by good stuff.

On the TSX, not too many quality stocks overs a yield of 6.5% out of a flash! This is what hold my interest in CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN). Canadian Tire is the most significant tenant of this REIT. CRT.UN offers to its investors more than 6%, while Canadian Tire itself distribute a yield of less than 2%...

CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN) closed Friday session at a stunning $10.31, even while the TSX was closing on a lower note. CRT.UN was launched at an initial $10 per unit. And we are now at $10.31! We shouldn't wait for this baby to grow more before catching on the flight!

So here's the plan. I have $335 cash in my TFSA. I plan to transfer $715 over my TFSA so I can get my pretty hands on a few units of CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN).

Exciting? OH YES.

I am the Dividend Girl and I am voting Mélanie Joly for Montreal Mayor

We are October 31th on this precious day, celebrating Halloween. And tomorrow, we'll be November 1st. Have you seen anything? I don't recall. I will have to read my blog posts.

I had update my dividend income for October. so far, looking good with a $630+. I am a bit scare for my holding in Barrick Gold (ABX) which is on a halt trade. I wasn't expecting such a mess around something I had judge as easy to hold. Because Gold is suppose or was a good investment right? In this economy, no investment is conservatory anymore. Nothing is save, everything is big market playground and absolutely any investment is an open door to lose money. Everything and anything can happen. I am ready for the worst and while waiting, I will go vote this Sunday!

Its quite hard to miss Mélanie Joly in Montreal: there's her pretty face every corners of every Montreal street. Fact is, I don't think Denis Coderre is the right man for Montreal. He had been involved in federal politic and I don't think he's a good candidate for being something "local". He doesn't have the soul it take, Denis Coderre is more than a clown than anything else.

I am a New Brunswicker and I will always be, but even while being a job stealer to Quebeckers, and also a men stealer, I still have a role to play - believe it or not - in Quebec society. Because the f is that I pay my taxes to Quebec province and I cannot benefit anything related to New Brunswick anymore, not even medical cares.

Denis Coderre is a fatty man who has a private driver and go around Montreal in.. a car. Is he giving a good example? F@ck@ no. Montreal is the hell of a place to drive a cars because there're too much to what the busy streets can handle. But Mr. Coderre doesn't seem to care, he prefers the comfort and the luxury of a car AND a driver. Denis Coderre is not even elected yet that he lives the big life.

On top of that, he's a big fatty man! Denis Coderre is obese. Poorrrr guy.

Montreal need fresh new blood. Someone who has never been involved in politic before. Montreal needs someone reliable, young, responsible, simple, reasonable, honest and brave.

She might not be perfect, but Mélany Joly is the candidate that match the most my credentials. She never been in politic but she's a lawyer and had worked for a big firm for a few years. Actually, Joly is close to the 33 years or if not 33, 34 or something like that, max 35.

I want hands clean of any kind of corruption and I think she is, even if she's not perfection.

Denis Coderre is the EXTREME arrogant type of politician and I truly don't trust him at all. Denis Coderre has his chances to make it in the federal scene, but he messed up with the occasion. I don'gt want of a little f"cker being all over the place and not being self discipline and center enough to lose weight and be descent and presentable. I don't want the mayor of Montreal to be a fat fatty pig like the one of Toronto.

COME ON PEOPLE. This is the wake up call.

Other than weight problems, I don't think that Denis Coderre is all that crystal clean of any corruption. Being a politician before is not a + in my book. And why did he left the federal scene anyway? That is not clear to me. Denis Coderre just want to be there and shine. I hope he will realize his mistakes when Mélanie Joly will be elected Montreal mayor.

So go girl and beat the fat guy, I know you can do it.
