Yes, its tax deductible. However, I don't recommend margin, because a margin is directly link to the value of your portfolio and during down turn, you could experiment difficulties, like a margin call. At TD, they even give themselves the liberty to sell your assets themselves if you are in the red. I don't recommend margin to anyone.
