The TSX closed today's session at 19,107.77 points. My non-registered portfolio wasn't much affected by this little slide back, closing at $124,200.23. My US portfolio closed at $4,377.17 USD, my TFSA portfolio at $114,432.30 and my RRSP portfolio at 56,743.22. My margin debt is now at $48,116.32. I feel more comfortable with that amount of debt. A margin debt at $51,216.14 like I had just a few days ago was a bit too high for my taste.
I no longer hold to some 3iQ CoinShares Ether ETF (ETHQ) units inside my non-registered portfolio, but I do hold on to some 3iQ CoinShares Ether ETF (ETHQ) units inside my TFSA portfolio. In my TFSA portfolio, ETHD is currently up by +11.40%. Bitcoin is currently down, but my investment in Bitcoin Fund The Class A units (QBTC) is on a +6.74%.
Other great things are going on. A stock that I hold inside my non-registered, TFSA, and RRSP portfolios Savaria Corporation (SIS) surf on a really good +6.805% gain today. Inside my non-registered portfolio, SIS is sitting on a +91.40%. Inside my TFSA portfolio, SIS is at +12.35%. And finally, inside my RRSP, SIS is at really good +132.36%.
ATCO Ltd. (ACO.Y) had been in my portfolio since 2017. At first, ACO.Y was from my non-registered portfolio. In 2019, I proceed with a contribution in kind, I took my ACO.Y shares and got them transferred over my TFSA portfolio.
I always love ACO.Y, but ATCO Ltd. (ACO.Y) never registered a real big gain in my portfolio. But surprise, currently, ACO.Y is on a gain of +0.23% inside my TFSA portfolio. Let's say that after a few years of holding ACO.Y, it's kind of a good start :-) Recently, ATCO Ltd. (ACO.Y) announced a deal with Suncor, to produce hydrogen. It seems like being a cool project. I also hold to Suncor Energy Inc. (SU) inside my TFSA portfolio, but only as a tiny small investment. That tiny small investment is currently on a gain, which is nice.
I hold on to some other stocks like ATCO Ltd. (ACO.Y) on which I am not making very great gain, but their value is more or less stable. I actually hold on to some stocks on which I know I won't be able to get rich on. I am thinking about Andrew Peller Limited (ADW.A) and Cascades Inc. (CAS). Other great news of the day, TMX Group Inc. (X) made a great announcement. X is increasing its dividend distribution by 10%! Currently, my annual dividend income is getting closer to $9,600.
These days, we hear a lot about inflation, but something nice is currently going on with the Canadian dollar, and is not happening without being noticed. The Canadian dollar is gaining more and more against the US dollars and it seems like we could hit on parity soon enough. If it happens, I will certainly convert some CAN $ into US $ inside my US portfolio. I am not a fan of the US, but if we have the chance to flirt with parity, I will certainly among the first ones to take advantage.
