These days, my investment portfolio is performing quite well. The TSX closed today at 20,113.96 points. My non-registered portfolio closed at $139,065.05, my US portfolio at $5,194.98, my RRSP stocks-only portfolio at $61,739.47, and my TFSA portfolio at $126,707.78. It's enjoyable to see that my non-registered portfolio is almost at 140k. My margin debt is at $27,399.06. Just a few days ago, on November 17, my net worth was at $362,630.53. Currently, my net worth is probably around the same amount. Today, my stocks portfolio gained +0.147%.

I was so tired after my workday that I slept in for two hours.

I arrived in Montreal from New Brunswick two weeks ago. I came back specifically for a dermatology procedure that I underwent just a few days ago, on November 16. For quite some time, I had some small bumps on my nose that I wanted to have removed. I also had two red dots around the eyes that I had removed, and another white hard dot on the corner of one eye that I wanted to address. It cost me $1,000 + taxes. Before that, I had a consultation, which cost $250 + taxes. My intervention was just six days ago, but it's already healing very well, and I am very pleased with the results. 

The most challenging part was getting those anesthesia needles in each part where the little bump needed to be removed. I got a little shot of CO2 laser on the nose. I didn't feel anything. My nose hurt in the evening, but the next day, the pain was gone. What hurts is not the laser itself, but the darn needle that penetrates the nose! However, the pain disappears in a couple of hours. It's not an intolerable pain and wouldn't stop you from working. Personally, I was at work the next morning. I work from home, so no one sees me anyway.

I was told I was going to receive a local anesthesia at the time of the consultation, but I thought that a cream would have been applied. I never thought it would have been a needle, like at the dentist. It was a little surprise. Such interventions come with a price, but for me, it's totally worth it. Now, my nose is as smooth as a rose. My bumps could eventually come back, as they are genetic. Some of my family members have the same little imperfections. If they come back, I will have them removed again. I asked the nurse when I was alone with her, and also the doctor when I was getting the job done, but both gave me the same answer: there's nothing that I can apply as a daily cream that would prevent those little imperfections from showing up on my pretty nose if they decide to come back...

For now, the skin on my nose is still recovering. It takes 5 to 10 days. In my case, I think it will take the full 10 days. The dead skin needs to fall off on its own. While waiting, some Vaseline or Polysporin needs to be applied day and night. I need to avoid the sun and avoid putting water on it. I take baths, and I am extra careful while washing my head. I don't really like taking baths, but I have to for now. Following my first 10 days, it will take 6 to 8 weeks for the skin to get back to its normal state, but during that time, you can wear makeup.

I have always been good at wearing sunscreen, and I am not naturally inclined to enjoy sun exposure. I usually wear a hat when I am out in the sun in the summer. I find that my face looks fine for a 43-year-old. Other than aging itself, the sun can do a lot of damage to the skin. I don't have major problems on my face. The major problems I had have been resolved back on November 16.
