I "may" got the job

I went to the interview. I had trouble to talk lol. I am always very bad in interview. Not that bad, but still. I am always so nervous! To my surprise, I am hired! I just have to pass the security and reference check. Which I should pass. I guess the most important part is the security check. As for the reference, I just hope it will go fine. I am quite happy, I guess I will study the bank Web site while waiting for a response. After, if I have a positive answer, it will be a lot easier for me.

Currently, my stocks and units portfolio is up to 26 951$, an increase of 432$. I am not even making that money in one day. I just hope the day end this way! Or even higher. I guess I am around 53 000$ if not more at this time. If I get hired at the bank, things are going to be a lot more complicated on my blog. The goal of my blog was to expose every investment I had on the first place. But now, blogging about the whole thing will be difficult. Because I don’t wan to get undercover. So I might simple expose the investment, without exposing the name. See the bank offer a stocks program. I don’t know how I am going to be able go keep writing about investment while working for a bank. Maybe I shouldn’t tell it here on my blog at the first place… But it’s too late now…lol... I am getting a free banking account... but I didn't have the courage to ask if we were getting a free brokerage account... like I don't want to ask too much and appear weird. But couldn't be so nice, no commission fee?!!!!!

Because purchasing stocks and investing in the TSX is not for me - especially for someone who's middle class see - but I do it anyway. So I didn't ask, and I didn't told them yet either that I want to manage one their mutual fund yet.. because you know, I was only joking while I wrote that.. previously... lol :)))) So I guess, just blogging in general terms without naming name or other stuff related to the bank won't get me into trouble. Or maybe am I already in trouble?

Dividend, overtime and job interview

Other dividend earnings

Earlier this week, I earn 27.08$ from Yellow Pages Income Fund (YLO.UN) and 13.13$ from Pembina Pipeline Income Fund (PIF.UN). I was very happy to finally receive my dividend. And I can’t simply wait for next month. It’s going to be just even better. For the month of October, I am only missing 2 dividend incomes. I should received sometimes next week or so 65$ from PGF.UN (that I now had sold) and BNS (50.47$).

Job interview

I have my final interview tomorrow. I hope to get the job. The weekend went pretty smoothly. I went to work yesterday and I took it off today. I did some cleaning (amazing my apartment is super clean lol), I later on went downtown for a little while and buy a pair of earrings. It was beautiful in Montreal today, the sun was out, and the weather was perfect. A nice autumn day, just the way I like them.

With the overtime I did this weekend, I hope to get around 900$ paycheck. I would had need 1 100$, but I didn’t do enough extra hours. But I will catch up on next pay. For the job I am going to an interview tomorrow, the training start in November. Its giving me some time ahead to do some overtime.

Is there a way out?

If I get the job I am going to for an interview tomorrow, I hope to do the training, which is suppose to be during daytime and keep my evening job. I would like to work at both jobs for the upcoming months… until I hit the 150 000$ in investments. And looking things this way, I am not too far away from my goal. I am currently, let say roughly at 55 000$. I am currently only missing 97 000$. If I am lucky enough to work at both job, I could probably invest close to 30 000$ per year in my investment portfolio. Which mean that in about 3 years, I could have 150 000$ and even more I hope, in assets. I am willing to give this plan a try.

At this time, I would like to reach the 60 000$ in assets by the end of the year. This could work if the TSX remain stable until that time and that I get hired at the job I am going for an interview tomorrow… It’s quite stressful, job interview always stress me. It’s about getting my social insurance number and stuff, giving my papers for diploma, present 2 pieces of ID. I guess it’s just for a background check… And everything should be fine since I am a very rich-lucky-girl. :))))

Dividend week for Just Energy Income Fund

I just received 21.08$ on today for the dividend of September for Just Energy Income Fund (JE.UN). I earn one extra unit. I am now at 405 units of Just Energy Income Fund.

My investment portfolio of stocks and units is currently at 26 628$, up of 109$. My Sprott Canadian Equity Fund if also up t more than 31$ per unit, for the second day of the row. I guess I might be around 53 500$ right now or somewhere close. Anyway, I won’t recalculate the whole thing again, it’s require way too much of work lol. I am just glad everything is going well. At this point, I need more cash to extend my investment portfolio and I need the TSX to gain more points. The combination of both (salary and TSX gain) could make my gin thousands of dollars more. I could easily reach the 65 000$ without too much work. 50 000$ is a fun goal, but wouldn’t be fun if I could reach the 100 000$? It’s not an impossible goal.

As for now, I am happy with the gain made so far. My Great-West Life portfolio is now up to 1 678.07$. 100$ over here, 100$ over there… at the end, all those little gain can easily make 1 000$ in gain. At this point, My first 50 000$ is taking form and all this worth actually something. My motivation is not to come and say: hey, look at how much I worth! I like my blog because it’s offer me the possibility to explain that it’s possible to accumulate mass of money, even at a middle class salary. And it’s also possible to make money from money (that will be the dividend). Not that I like Derek Foster that much that I want to do just like him lol, but what I like, is the possibility, the possibility to make a living from my investment. And what come next for me as a step is now: will I continue, does it worth it to invest all my savings on the stock market? Sometimes, I told myself wow, 50 000$ is a lot of money, what am I doing here, investing in stocks and units? But that impression never last for long. I always told myself that if I would loose too much, I will stop. Currently, from my stocks and units portfolio, I had lost a bit more than 8 000$. So far, in my broker account, I had invested just a bit more than 40 000$. From that money, I lost 8 000$. I lost the money in Timminco, Sprott (SII) and in Sprott Canadian Equity mutual fund. Also with Blue Note Mining. Even while facing money lost, am still not at the point where I am not going to invest anymore. I believe I will be able to recover from those loses pretty easily. I still believe in my chance and its look to me like the stock market was made just for me, so I can win big at this game.

For my next investment, I want BRC.UN, Enbridge, BA.UN among other. I don’t think I can lose with those picks. As long as I remain with dividend payer stocks and units and forget about penny stocks, I won’t loose money. As long my portfolio keep growing in all kind of crazy directions, I won’t loose, I will gain. And reaching that 50 000$ in investment had made myself felt that I cannot remove myself from the market because I have too much too earn and gain from it. That’s exactly how I feel at this point.

My job interview of today went fine

I went to my job interview today. I was asked different questions regarding job in a call center. They were mostly general questions, situation questions kind of like. The interview went ok and I was told I will receive a call by the end of the week for a second interview. And to my surprise, I received a call when I was at my evening job. I call right back away. There was a spot available tomorrow, but it was too close to my evening shift, so instead, I took the interview for Monday morning.

It gives me a bit of time ahead just to prepare myself a bit more for an interview. Not that I wasn’t prepare for today interview. But with the fatigue, stress, etc., the interview of today wasn’t spectacular. My problem is I am feeling very tired at this time, even if I sleep well. Maybe it’s the weather change that is affective me. Until Monday, I have a lot to do as I want to do some overtime and catch up with different things I need to get done. If, by any chance, I got the job, I will be one of the happiest girls of the world. Working at 2 jobs during weekdays will be tough, but if I do not work 2 days straight, I think I will be able to handle it. The training will be during daytime, and during the evening, I will be working at my current job… And money will finally arrive. It’s been quite a long time now that I had been living on one salary only and I miss the money.

I cannot wait to have my bank account and other stuff with the bank I will be working for. I am just hoping for a discount for a broker account too. Just very curious about the free bank stuff employees can get. I never heard of it before. Maybe not free, but at a discount price. That part is pretty intriguing. Going for bed for now, exhausted by my day and I didn’t do that much at all.

Free Saturday and District 9

Today was a funny day. I wake up late. After, I clean my place. I might had pass around 3 hours cleaning my one and a half apartment. I just now have some laundry left to do. I am glad I am done with the cleaning. I hate to clean my place, but I « try » o do it at least one every 2 weeks. The benefit of living in a tiny 1 ½ is that it’s doesn’t require that much cleaning and that’s perfect for me lol. A 2 and half might be better for me. A one and half apartment is quite small and I am missing some storage room. I hope to one day move and get a 2 and half apartment somewhere on Montreal Island, close to a metro. So, after the cleaning, I go out for lunch and went downtown. Later on I went to the theatre and saw that strange movie, call District 9. Certainly didn’t worth the 12$ I pay for, but it was kind of ok. It’s a lost colder outside now. It’s just sad that summer went so quickly.

Tomorrow Sunday I have overtime available, I will try to go to work in the morning. And after, I will try to prepare myself for the interview. Always so much to do. I would like to have the job even if the pay is low. Advantage (including health insurance) are available on the first day we start working. So for sure, I will take my time to go to the dentist. At my current job, we have social bonus, but I never sign up for them… Its just one of those things I never took the time to do. For now, what I really wish for is that the interview went well and that I will be able to work at those 2 jobs at the same time. I was told already that the training is during the daytime. Wouldn’t be nice if I could the training there during daytime and work my regular night shift just like usual? That could mean a lot of cash in order to purchase BRC.UN and maybe even Enbridge… Finally! I just cannot wait to add something new to my investment portfolio.

And I cannot wait for Tuesday to come.

I am now at 52 833.37$

We are already Friday! I didn’t perform anything good today, but at least, I present myself to work lol. I wanted to wake up early to do everything I had planned to do, but I didn’t do that much. I want to pay my RBC credit card. In date of today, I no longer have credit card debt. At least major one. I expect to pay everything by the end of October.

I was planning to do some overtime tomorrow Saturday, but seem like there’s none, and its better that way. I have way too much to do, a day off won’t even be enough. And since I am not working tomorrow, I calculate my overall earnings. With the latest changes that happen in my investment portfolio lately, I couldn’t wait to see how much my portfolio worth. I am currently at 52 833.37$, which is not bad at all. Almost at the 55 000$, even without Livingston International Income Fund (LIV.UN) and Pengrowth Energy Trust (PGF.UN) in my portfolio.

My job searching progress

I begin my job search and I got a first interview next week for a job. Problem being: I might not be able to work someplace else while working for them (a major Canadian bank). I couldn’t lie, the job require experience in a call center as a customer representative and the only place I got that kind of experience is at my current job. Normally, when I apply at a job, I am pretty smart, I don’t expose my newest experience and until now, it work pretty well, and it allow me to work at several jobs at the same time.

But the job of today required experience as customer representative and I was asked if I was still working there, and I answer yes… I couldn’t lie, especially on that. Over the phone, the interviewer told me that I probably wouldn’t be able to work someplace else while working for them. But hey, at the salary that they are paying (less than 30 000$), how can they imagine I will stick with only one job? Anyway, I didn’t discuss much over the phone as I didn’t want to ruin all of my chances right from the start. As for the salary, it’s the salary I was told over the phone, which I said was ok. They have evening shift available, which are perfect for me, it will allow me to work daytime at the job I am right now. I could probably work something out and I could possibly earn more than 40 000$ this way. Wouldn’t be cool? Will God let me do this for my own faith? Anyway, I don’t know what God want from me, but what I want is some cash. And I want it right now!

But remember, this is my first interview, which I am pretty happy about. And I am thinking about taking the offer. I am not looking specially to work with a bank. It’s just happen that way. Actually, I should explain to them that I don’t want to be a simple CSR (customer rep), but I actually want to become one of their mutual funds manager lol. No one is better than me, right?

I should probably explain that to them at the time I present myself to the interview next week. Sure I am going to get the job right away this way. Crazy.

About my stocks and units investment portfolio

It’s getting better and better and I am proud of my move (selling PGF.UN), even if PGF.UN increase in value today. After loosing so much money with Sprott Inc. (SII) and Timminco (TIM), I didn’t want the same story to happen again. So I sell PGF.UN. And truly, I don’t regret it because this awesome move had saved our dividend annual income. Awesome! I am actually really proud of that. And I would be even prouder if I could find any cash to invest in BRC.UN.

And what’s next?

Job searching! Cleaning, cooking and laundry. And a visit to my PO Box. Overtime… I want today at the RBC of Ville-Marie downtown Montreal, but something happen during the afternoon at Ville-Marie and the RBC Bank was close. I cannot wait to pay of my RBC Credit card. I have 469.10$ to pay off. By the end of October, I will be credit card debt free.

Job searching for the money

I work on my French resume and I probably begin my job search right today. I wake up early today! It’s currently 8:38AM… I might be very motivated by something…. Might be the money lol. I need cash to bring some 100 units of BRC.UN in my portfolio. I want those!

Yesterday, JE.UN close at 13.98$ when I had purchased 200 units at 13.84$. I made a little profit right here in just in a day. I am happy that all those transactions are now over. Feeling better now, but it make me laugh because since I sell, PGF.UN price continue to rise… until 10.71$. I could had made an extra 475$ in profit if I would had sell at that price but anyway, I will say that life not just all about money. I guess some other investors might had done the same thing as myself.

I cannot wait for tonight to come, as I am expecting a big paycheck of at least 1 100$. After what, tomorrow I will be able to pay off my RBC credit card, a major part of my CIBC Visa and maybe just the minimum payment for my TD Visa. I will pay as much as I can, but I need to keep 200$ in my pocket for my next month as I don’t know if there’s overtime available.

I saw colleagues of mine who really have enough of that job as their vacations had been refused. I never asked for vacation and I am close to the 2 000$ in vacations pay. I would like to cash in the money – or leave the vacations money there until I leave and cash it out… But at a point, I feel I might need, someday, those vacations lol.

Anyway for now, what I have enough is that there is no ventilation and its smell and its too hot. But most of the time, its relatively ok. For now, I am job searching. I would like to find something in my field and if not well, I will continue the way I am.

I just purchase 200 units of JE.UN at 13.89$

For this purchase, I had to modify my order from for the limit of 13.89$. I just purchase 200 new units of Just Energy Income Fund (JE.UN).

My investment portfolio currently worth 26 441.55$.

So I finally made it. I save my annual dividend income and its really great.

As for the rest, I am tired. Yesterday at work, they hd begin to change the whole call center carpet while we were still in there. It was smelling glue! What an horror. Just what we need to get intoxicated. And here am I this morning, feeling not so bad, but I just want my bed.

Thank you

Thank you for visiting!
