Montreal Biodome beauties

I had been quiet lately but it’s because my mom just left yesterday evening for New Brunswick. We arrived in Montreal Wednesday. She really wanted to visit Montreal. Despite the fact that I was actively looking for a job in New Brunswick, I did not have the heart to say no to her wish. She just had lost her brother after all. We have a great time. When I conduct her at the bus station, she told me it was ok for me to leave her there, that she was going to wait for the bus all by herself. I didn’t want to leave my mom alone among the mass of Quebeckers. No way! I put her in the bus and left in peace as she only had to switch of bus one single time... She left at close 11pm and at that time, I felt tired. Outside, it was raining and I was cold. We had spent that Saturday at the Montreal Biodôme. It was really great. I had gone there just once years before and going back was great. I took some very nice pictures using only my iPod! You’ll see a few right here.

Luckily, I was able to work today at my weekend job. After several months, I am now back working there. Not that it was wanted from my part, but I am desperately in need of money. So when I learn that there was work for me today this Sunday, I was like WOW! Not that the job pay that much, but working during the weekend pay my whole rent (555$), my Internet and a few little things. And it’s seemed it had started back for a little while. So that’s very good. But if I wouldn’t have call, I wouldn’t have work... That’s how it is with Quebeckers, despite being employed there for 3 years now.

Because as said, I am in need of money. Many not that desperately, but I had accumulated a balance of more than 900$ on my credit cards! My trip to New Brunswick cost me some $$$, as well as my mom coming here to Montreal for a couple of days... So overall, yeah, I spend some money. I got a haircut; I guess I look better now. I dye my hair. I didn’t take care of my color since this summer, this because I wanted to get my natural color back... The work of several months of non-coloration had gone with the New Brunswick wind within the matter of a few minutes... But I do look better with darker hair (which is now dark with red lol...).

Tomorrow will be my first day back from vacation of my week day job. At this time, I am just happy to be able to work and I wish I will be able to move from Montreal has I don’t have any affinity with Quebec people and I want to be able to live differently. I don’t want to hear from the Bloc Québécois, Pauline Marois, Gilles Duceppe, Amir Khadir or any other kind of Quebec freaks anymore.

Many things on the way, a lot of work too. And not to forget my promise to Frank (read previous comments) about posting my trade history... Some readers are really difficult and some other not. I am currently working on my next trade. I was thinking about the Claymore Silver. I want to do what I was trying to do with PHS.U. So stay tune for my next quick cash money making tip :)

Be careful when trading Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U) in Canadian currency

I did somewhat of a real funny mistake today! I was so happy to be able to sell my 470 units of PHS.U at 15.67$! Especially knowing that the purchase was made at 14.88$ per unit. I had that bus ticket and other expenses I need to pay and I was truly excited about making a 300$+ profit on my sell of today 470 units of PHS.U at 15.67$. The only problem is that my profit was not of 300$+, but of 30$! Why? What happen?

At first, I taught it was TD Waterhouse fault. TD Waterhouse informatics system was down, something happen at the time of the transaction... I had made my sell at 15.67$ for the 470 units, I could see that in my order ticket. But the amount of money that appear in my Activity section was not of 7364.90$ (470 units x 15.67$), but of 7 049.68$. I was missing more than 300$ here! Where the amount went? Is TD Waterhouse stealing my money? What’s going on?

Well, TD Waterhouse did not steal any money from my account. I did a mistake and this mistake is from my own. It’s something I knew about but it never truly cross my mind. Because I had that bus ticket that need to be paid and I WANTED THAT 300 BUCKS!!!

Ok, so here’s what went wrong: When purchasing or selling PHS.U, there’s always something showing up about the currency that need to be check before placing the order. PHS.U is trading in US dollars. I knew that but... this has an effect whenever you decided to sell PHS.U. At this time, the effect is huge, because I could get that 7364.90$. What I been able to make from today PHS.U sell is 7 049.68$. This is just so funny!

Today, I made a 30$ profit out of my PHS.U sell, not 351.30$.

While trading Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U), always keep in mind, even if PHS.U trade on the TSX side, it’s still in US dollars. This is confusing for the little investor that I am. But I will do better next time. I was told by a TD Waterhouse rep that it’s better to trade Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U) in US dollars. It help to avoid the kind of crazy situation that I live today.... but just soo hilarious! One of the reasons why PHS.U is doing so well is that it’s trading in US dollars. I guess it could be one of the reasons. However, I am still a Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U) fan, like to see it gain in value. I had been following PHS.U since November 2010.

I currently hold Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U) in my TFSA. I am not in a rush to sell, but when PHS.U reached 20$, I will sell. Again... And that time, I will get my HUGE profit!!!!

In conclusion, TD Waterhouse never steal any money from me :)

Welcome K-Bro Linen Inc., 100 stocks of KBL in my portfolio

I decided myself quite quickly, I invest in 100 stocks of K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL) at 20.25$ per stock. I am happy with this new investment which I believe will bring in a reasonable dividend and great stability to my portfolio. 

I don't plan to invest more at this time for today. Enough is enough and I want to get out of here!!

YEAH! I just sell 470 units of PHS.U at 15.67$!!!!

Now, my bus ticket Montreal-New Brunswick is fully PAID, thanks to the Sprott Physical Silver. It was 170$. Remember previously, I had purchased 470 units at 14.88$, I sell today at 15.67$ my 470 units for a profit of 351.30$ after commission fees. WOW! 

I couldn't wait for the Sprott Physical Silver (PHS.U) to hit the 16$ per unit...  If you don't need to cash in your Sprott Physical Silver now and your not in need of cash, wait for PHS.U to hit a 16$. Enter a limit order at 16$ for PHS.U and I am pretty sure that very soon, great money is going to be made from PHS.U, even better than now. 

In my case, I had many expenses to cover for this month. I am getting paid for this 2 weeks vacations, but add to that a little bit a shopping and not to forget that my mom is coming to Montreal. Fun, but that add up to the expenses. Ok, that 351.30$ profit could be seen at being nothing at all, it is not much actually, BUT that extra money in my pockets and I really need the money at this time. I wouldn't like to left something on my credit card because I cannot paid... Also, not to forget my online income of more than 140$ that I might had received by now... That make roughly a 500$! So yeah, the money is going to be use very quickly but gees, that's fun!

That's something to celebrate!

I currently have an extra 7 364.90$ in my broker account. My margin is down to 22 037.58$. Which mean I have 22 037.58$ at 4.25%. 

351.30$ goes in cash for my expenses. But what about the 7 000$+ left? What am I doing to do with the money? Invest or paid off debt? I taught about taking a 1 000$ to leave in my banking account in order to avoid the 3.65$ fees. It's soon the tax season. And maybe I will have a little extra to pay off... So I don't know if the whole 7 000$ will be use to invest. I am still thinking...

And by the way, Sprott Inc. (SII) is currently at 9$ per stock! I initially paid my stocks 10$ each back in 2008. Since 2008, SII played the yo-yo, which drive me crazy, but I was confident, I hold and now well, the Sprott Inc. (SII) is at 9$ and had paid this year a real fantastic dividend... 

The sun is out somewhere in the north of New Brunswick (where I am right now). I need to take fresh air. We are leaving tomorrow by bus for Montreal, me and my mom. Hello Casino, Biodome, Jean Talon market, Mont Royal, Eaton Centre, Oratoire St-Joseph, Stade Olympique and Old Montreal. Its going to be fun knowing I have a bit more in my pockets.

Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) hit the 15.59$ per unit today

The weather is really bad today in the north of New Brunswick but at least, my investment portfolio is doing well. My non registered portfolio is exceeding the 105k. I earn great dividend recently from Yellow Pages, Emera and Enercare.

And about Enercare (ECI) well, I sell all of my units a little while ago. And I cash in an awesome profit. I don’t like to sell any of my investment, but I did sell and I don’t regret it. I would have like to write a post about me selling Enercare but at this time, remember I am not home (if you can consider a one and a half apartment as home... lol). I cannot wait to go back to Montreal and move on. I need to do something else. I had been doing a bit of job search while being here.

There’s a real winter storm out there in New Brunswick! Nothing to compare the one I am use to. Schools were closed today. For a while, my Internet was not working. I went outside with my dad... He needed to go anyway to get his pills. I went to an Internet cafe, but we didn’t stay long, I could not concentrate while seeing all that snow. While being at the Internet cafe, I notice that my Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) was hitting the 15.59$ per unit. During that time, my father was sitting in front me, reading a magazine and gees, I have to say, I let go my chance to make a couple of hundreds of dollars. I didn’t sell my PHS.U units despite the 15.59$ value that was standing in front of me, among with my father... WOW...

A profit of more than 300$ was appealing, but I didn’t move and I soon saw the price falling below 15.59$. The timing was perfect, but I decided not to sell... And I regret it now. This is just because I truly believe that Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) will reach the 16$ per units very soon. But I could be wrong. Usually prefer to sell whenever the occasion to make money is there. Me and the stock market, it’s really a day-to-day situation. And today, I miss the occasion to make a very good 323.70$. That’s more than enough to pay my bus ticket. But I have to say, purchasing 470 units in one shoot of PHS.U while the units were at 14.88$... Well that was a pure genius trade, I can say that for sure. At this time, the Toronto stock market seems to be on a good track. Chances are that Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) units will exceed the 15.59$ per unit, can I say maybe tomorrow?

I regret doing “nothing” when PHS.U hit the 15.59$ today. So if it happen that PHS.U hit the 15.59$ per unit again tomorrow, I may SELL, cash in the profit of the sell and invest in 100 stocks of K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL). I would like to reinvest major part of the money.

I have a lot of things in mind right now. Everything is getting mix up all together and I am a bit confuse.

SP Brunner review of K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL)

SP Brunner of Investment Talk with SPBrunner blog reviews recently a company that I find very interesting: K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL). I recommend you to read SP Brunner 2 posts about K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL) here and here. SP Brunner never made stock recommendation – very good isn’t – but I like her stock reviews. Try to find on the Web a blog like the one of SP Brunner. You can stop right here, because you won’t find too many of them. She’s almost one of the only blogger out there doing something that I would like to be able to do myself: analyze stock. SP Brunner once gave a bad review of my favourite company: Just Energy Group Inc. (JE). I understood her view of Just Energy, but I don’t share it.

Despite SP Brunner bad review of Just Energy Group Inc. (JE), well, I have to say, we have a blogger who knows what she’s talking about. Someone like SP Brunner should be writing for specialize financial Web site or newspaper or something like it. She’s much more than a simple blogger.

Ok, after the flowers... The reason why I am writing about K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL) is because I find KBL could be a nice fit to my portfolio. I recently invested in more than 400 units of Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) at 14.88$. It was a pretty good purchase, usual stuff you know lol... Currently, PHS.U is exceeding the 15$ per unit... Nice stuff, but PHS.U can hit the 15.50$, if not the 16$ per unit very soon. I had buy and sell some PHS.U units since November 2010. I know that the physical silver of Eric Sprott is very strong and it has the potential to help me recover from a 200$ (more or less) lost in Superior Plus Corp. (SPB).

So here’s the plan: once my big profit will be made out of the sell of my Sprott Physical Silver Trust UTS (PHS.U) units, I will invest in at least 100 stocks of K-Bro Linen Inc. (KBL). Good plan isn’t? I just cannot wait to sell my PHS.U units. I am looking forward for a 526.40$ profit.
