Another bad day for the TSX

A lot of damages had been done today over the TSX. Only to add a bit more to the existing stock market difficulties worldwide, the TSX experimented major technical difficulties at the end of its trading session. From what I understood, the TSX wasn't operational during its two last usual business hours. This is catastrophic. A stock market that doesn't remain open in the hardest times doesn't offer the best opportunities for all. The TSX needs to be, and that means that its an open market that goes with the flow, and need to remain open during regular trading hours. Today, there was an in deep need for selling assets over the TSX, but that need wasn't fully fulfilled. In reaction to that bad situation, the TSX could experience another bad day yesterday.

Today was quite busy for me at work and I only had time to check on the TSX one time, and when I did *DRAMA*, the TSX had lost 300 points. As expected, my overall value had gone now. My non-registered portfolio closed today session at $118,062.87, my TFSA portfolio at $85,732.45, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only, at $48,413.32. Not exactly everything had been going wrong today. Strangely, my Cargojet Inc. (CJT) stocks registered a gain of 2.29%.

Yesterday, I had bought some  Fortis Inc. (FTS) and CGI Group Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (GIB.A) stocks for my TFSA portfolio. I actually have cash to invest more. I never been good enough to have some savings. I am thinking about investing in maybe some RY stocks. Now is the time to catch good quality stocks at a cheaper pricer.

While facing a down market, the obsession if to find out if the lowest value had been reached or not. Personally, I think the TSX can go lower tomorrow, especially since any operations had been made impossible to be made at the end of the trading day.

Perfection has a name: its Fortis Inc. (FTS)

Another post because mommy is here to help! Ok so, now is a good time to invest in stock, but in which one? When everything is going well like it did for the past couple of weeks, stocks are expensive. In times like we are in right now - this is the perfect time to invest in stocks. I have many little favorites, but the stock of my life that I really like but I never barely write about: Fortis Inc. (FTS). That stock is soooo strong and with an amazing chart that drive a sexy spell on you.

Finding good quality stocks to invest in is not an easy thing. But you have to trust me when I say that Fortis Inc. (FTS) is perfection because it is. A chart simply doesn't lie. No need to understand finance or anything else. Everything you need is in that line. Fortis is usually always really strong, you may want to take advantage of the kittle drop that we are currently experiencing in Fortis right now because guess what, it's what I am going do for a good 2k that I have in cash inside my TFSA (I know, finally).!

No stock is at no risk, but you can easily tell if a stock is secure by looking at an overall chart. And of course, that chart needs to go all the way up. If you want to invest in stock right now, focus on a stock that pays a reasonable and not too high dividend yield, have a good overall chart and that s not to shake up by the current stock market disastrous situation.

I am going to throw other stocks that I hold and that you might like to consider as an investment:
Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS)
Canadian National Railway Co (CNR)
WSP Global Inc. (WSP)

And check out my portfolio for other ideas because I am ending this here.

No need to thank me for anything.

OH NOOO, the TSX is going flat DOWN

Rough days for the TSX! My non-registered portfolio closed today session at $121,356.34, my TFSA portfolio at $87,343.84, and my RRSP portfolio at $49,536.38. My numbers are not too bad, knowing what's going on. This week, the stocks market had reacted quite hard. We were almost in the 18 000 points, and now, we are closer to the 17 000 than to the 18 000 points. Nothing better than a wild volatility correction to put things back in perspective. I don't know if the stock market is reacting too much. In the present time, for once, the stock market is reacting quite normally, because of the virus. The best way to protect yourself is to wash your hands frequently. It's something that I am used to do naturally. Personally, I don't fear death, I don't even believe that I can actually die, my body is just too great for that purpose. But I guess one day, I will know for sure. Until that time, I am watching closely my beauties going down down down... While doing so, I cannot do much, so I am burning myself to the gym right after work and by doing, I just have more energy. I used to feel tired in the evening, while not going to the gym. So to the gym, I do belong. Currently, my favorite gym song that I listen to on and on and on... is from A$AP Rocky. The rhythm of the song is just perfect. Not too slow, not too fast. I have a crush on that guy. I don't know if it will last or not. LOL

This had been released a little while back, but I don't get enough of that song! Let's dance while the stock market is going all the way down. You won't be able to do anything to stop it anyway, so breathe in and try to relax. Just keep everything in there, it's not the time to sell. It's during hard times like these that I built up my portfolio. My what used to be a $257 000 net worth had been build on total distress and misery.

And I am helping the moment by checking on my beautiful blog, and remembering that at a special time of my life, I had reached $257 000 in net worth. With Spring coming soon enough, maybe the epidemic will be hitting less, I just hope so. Be ready, tomorrow could also be a bad day for the TSX. I am getting ready to invest. Despite being frightening, it's when the TSX hit low that we need to buy our precious stocks. It's something that is easier to say than to do. I am not in a hurry to invest because I am under the impression that the TSX could go lower. So if you don't feel ok to invest now, you can certainly hold on to your cash for now. It's not a shame to hold on to some cash inside a portfolio. I had been living with now a 4k in cash inside my TFSA for what - a couple of weeks now? And I am just doing ok the way I am.

Other than the virus, we have a lot going on in Canada. Personally, I always loved the train. Where I am from in New Brunswick, we can see the train, and hear it coming, despite being at a good distance. I guess that no one is hearing much of trains these days, but I don't know for sure the situation in New Brunswick. Justin Trudeau is so not the politician of the situation right now. I am totally in favor of the indigenous resistance. This is just not hard to understand, we shouldn't invade indigenous land, it's just somewhat common sense that Trudeau is too lazy to understand. We should all stand behind them. This is bad to the economy, but it's the fault of Mr. dumb-dumb Justin Trudeau.

Probably saying hello to a somewhat $258 000 net worth

My RRSP portfolio closed today session at $51,002.60 - I think it's the first time it reached 51k. My TFSA portfolio closed today session at $89,882.35 and my non-registered portfolio, at $125,637.08. I am probably in the $258 000 net worth or around. I really hope that no one of my readers actually has anything invested in Bombardier Inc. because today, BBD.B lost closed to 10%.

I now have $4,233.04 savings. Once I reached 5k, I will be good to have.. free cheques. I didn't contribute yet to my TFSA in 2020, which is a real shame. However, I absolutely need free cheques and I am going to explain why. You got to imagine me at work, my cell phone is ringing, I am terribly annoyed, but I answer anyway, just in case it would be an emergency coming from my old folks in New Brunswick. I answer the phone and it's not the voice of someone I know, I am thinking about a telemarketing score. I am terribly annoyed... And then, I hear the man asking for me, and then he said that he was from an anti-fraud department... And of course, I freaked out, what the f is going on? But then I am being asked if I made a cheque of X amount... Of course, that was my rent cheque, but it's just that instead of paying using a cheque from my line of credit, I pay using a cheque coming from my credit card and then received THE call lol... Hell yeah, I need some free cheques PLEASE. LOL

It might feel as being useless to have 5k in savings, but it took me a while before building up my savings account, so I prefer that the money stay where it is. It's all pretty much psychological with me. And frankly, I have almost 4k in cash in my TFSA and I am still thinking about what to invest in.

Welcoming my highest net worth value ever: $257,187.44‬!

I don't know if you had bought, like me, the Smoothie and Milkshake 2020 calendar, but I have to say that the month of February is absolutely gorgeous with Milkshake pretty kitty face.

Yesterday had been quite a day, as I reached out my highest net worth value ever, $257,187.44‬. I have my chances to end my week on an 258k-259k net worth. The $260 000 net worth is near, that you like it or not. I never expected to have it so easy, by doing nothing at all, without any effort, if it's not to simply be the too smart investor that I am and watch my investment portfolio who just keep going higher and higher and higher like it will never stop. If I ever reached out to the $300 000 this year, it will be insane. And after, why not going for a 400k? While I am exploding of health, the JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) of Jean-François Tardif cannot even reach the $15 per unit!!! The malediction continues for Tardif. He cannot do even a sweet shit anymore. His mediocrity obsesses me.

Today, my non-registered portfolio closed at $126,026.18, my TFSA portfolio at $89,761.34, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only, at $51,031.12. The TSX still going strong despite the coronavirus. It took a deadly disease to slow down erratic unneeded air traffic. Airline companies should all get shut down. Diseases can easily spread one place to another. It shouldn't be consider as a normal thing to take an airplane, and travel worldwide. It's unnatural and bad for the environment. Some airline companies like Air Canada offer horrible customer service, nothing will be miss. But how could be any different, especially knowing how incompetent Quebeckers can be.

Today, both TFI International Inc. (TFII) and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. Class A Limited Voting Shares (BAM.A) had registered really great gains. Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (BAM.A) announced today really awesome news, its something that I just simply ADORE: a stock split!!! From my experience, please take it for granted - whenever a stock goes under the stock split knife, your investment value - usually speaking - will simply go UP and hello good looking gains.

This is fun!

I am now on my highest net worth value EVER: $254,435.86‬

Yesterday, I proceed with a quick debt and investment portfolio update. I knew that I was on my way to hit on the 260k net worth, or somewhere close. That's how that yesterday, my net worth closed on $254,435.86‬. But today, my numbers are even better and hotter! Today, my non-registered portfolio closed on $125,906.16, my TFSA portfolio at $88,871.31 and my RRSP portfolio, at $50,703.66. I am certainly on a 2k gains. My net worth is probably in the 256k right now. I might have all the chances of the world to reach in after to all to reach the oh so wanted $300 000 net worth. But suddenly, 300k doesn't seem as being that much at all. And suddenly, I NEED MORE MONEY. As my value grows, it seems to me like the money I have is not that much at all. It's kind of a charming turn, to know how much all this means to me now. And it's quite amusing just to realize how much my hunger for that $300 000 is really is. I never taught it was going to be so damn easy.

I didn't place new investments yet, I still have close to 4k in cash inside my TFSA. It's quite busy at work so I am not at a place where I can easily see clear on what to do next. Currently, the most valuable thing I guess is my savings, which I like to name cold cash. Money in a saving account is worth being name cold cash because only money fully invested in stocks is hot, and savings are cold.

I quickly read that BCE Inc. (BCE) had increased its dividend distribution. WSP Global Inc. (WSP) is ALMOST trading at $100 per share. I also recently great stuff about both Aecon Group Inc. (ARE) and Metro Inc. (MRU). Now that I am just so close to reaching out a 300k net worth, I just really want to hit on that stock that will give me the push that I need to really move over all my expectations and wildest dream. And this is what I am good at. I know I can make it.

However, right now, my greatest enemy is myself. I am just getting tired these days and my job is quite difficult. I just feel like I need a vacation and I need to meet a rich man. With this winter I have dry skin and I am just not feeling exactly myself.

My dirty little secrets about my margin account: the true and only the true

It's unfortunate, it was going to happen sooner or later, but yesterday, the TSX lost 122 points, but today, the TSX gains 58 points. At now 17 500, the TSX is not in bad shape. The damage made by the coronavirus to my portfolio is minor, at least for now. My non-registered portfolio closed yesterday session at $122,720.67, my TFSA portfolio at $86,419.31, and my RRSP portfolio at $50,806.35. Today, my numbers are on a higher note. My non-registered portfolio closed today at $123,180.46, my TFSA portfolio at $86,683.45, and my RRSP portfolio at $50,952.25.

I still have a close to 4k in cash inside my TFSA portfolio that is only waiting for me to be investing. These days, I am always facing the same things over and over again. I have to say, I am still watching closely Lightspeed POS Inc. (LSPD) from time to time. Yesterday, LSPD lost 7% in value, and today, the title gains 5%. LSPD is the perfect stock for day trading or performs what I like to explain as hit-and-run hot moves. With such moves, you buy, but only to obtain one thing: quick hot cash. While facing the coronavirus, the stock market remains volatile and is quite sensitive to the situation. But on the other hand, it's quite boring to have some cash in my TFSA portfolio account, doing strictly NOTHING. That coronavirus is not scary me, but I won't visit China anytime soon. Asia doesn't interest me, the exception maybe of Japan.

A good thing about speaking French is that it allows you to read documentation written in both French and English. Currently, I do not have access to Stockopedia and I am kind of lost, I just don't know what to invest in. The tool I had been using for something like 3 years had been taking away for me. Well, take that little Ukers, I don't need you, I have absolutely everything I need straight in my face. Inside my RRSP, I had been holding on to CGI Group Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (GIB.A) for a couple years and alone, CGI Group Inc. had been one of my best investments. And today, I read this French article in La Presse. Take a wild look at this beauty, the overall chart of
CGI Group Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (GIB.A):

Have you ever seen a better chart? Simply amazing! While I am desperately trying to find a new investment for my TFSA portfolio, why not being smart and invest in a solid rock like GIB.A, instead of investing in a stock like Lightspeed POS Inc. (LSPD), who's more of a stock for players than a stock for investors. You needed to see this for yourself, I do not need Stockopedia, I do not need it at all. I may place my investment move tomorrow in GIB.A, but nothing is 100% sure. GIB.A is not paying dividend, it might be it's only negative point.

Other than that, another real fantastic stock of mine is performing quite well these days: Metro Inc. (MRU). Today, MRU announced an increase of their dividend. MRU is another great stock to invest in. Actually, I could do an half-half with GIB.A for my TFSA portfolio.

As for the dirty secrets, my confession: I basically used my margin account like my banking account. I used my margin to pay my expenses, and whenever I received paychecks, I pay down my margin.

With my upcoming paycheck, my savings will raise to 4k, and it will be great.

Those days, Canadian investors are being treat well by the TSX - and that include ME

My TSX closed on a good 17,621.78 points. Today, it was only a 21.92 points gain, but in my world, any gain, no matter as small as it can be, worth celebrating. Don't you ever forget that everything that go up, sooner or later can go hit the ground in a matter of nothing at all, just to smash you down. I may be getting closer to my first $300 000 - this sounds quite good - but it's no time to get arrogant. For the TSX, the 18 000 points are no longer that far away. And it's what I need to hit on my magic number. Let's not forget that I currently need less than $48 000 to make it happen.

With a potential epidemic crisis coming straight from China, I am not quite sure if this is the right time to invest in anything new. And guess what, I don't even feel into investing in something at the present time. Nothing is really moving me. Things can remain as they are for my portfolio because everything is ok. My investment portfolio is much more than just a gorgeous thing that I keep exhibiting over, over and over again my blog. It's all heart and soul. In my case, my portfolio is a work of art and perfection had almost been reached. I may post another update my portfolio this weekend - again, if the TSX closed tomorrow on a gain, no matter how big, or how small. I am simply asking for a gain.

I know that rather than having a 4k in cash laying in my TFSA portfolio doing nothing, I should get it transferred over my non-registered to pay down my margin, but as explain previously, owning money inside a TFSA portfolio is a privilege, it should remain there. I do not believe in RRSP. RRSP is a trick that the government came with to make even more money on the back of poor citizens. Once you retired, you have to pay huge amount of tax on that money. Sooner or later, you have to pay. I only contribute to my RRSP via my job, but other than that, I won't ever contribute of my hard earn money to a RRSP. It's way better to use the TFSA and non-registered portfolio. That way, you can do whatever you want with your money, and you can benefit from it whenever you need it. I regret investing that much in my RRSP portfolio. I would have like to have it inside my TFSA or non-registered portfolio instead. RRSP is nothing more than bullshit.

Celebrating my $251,997.99 highest net worth value EVER with... a Conair Unbound Cordless Curling Iron!

This week had been quite amazing for my portfolio. Day after day after day, my portfolio followed the TSX and simply did what it needed to do: skyrocket high. It's been a fun past week. I do not remember experiencing such growth in a short period. Actually, I do not remember having my TSX on such positive gains for that many days in a row. Days like that need to be enjoyed and remembered as happy ones, because you never know what is going to happen next for the stock market.

While I was freezing in Montreal today - I am quite sensitive to the cold weather, despite being a cold bread New Brunswicker - my TSX did it again! Today, the TSX closed on a positive gain, at now 17,597.39 points, my TSX is better than ever. I didn't have time to write anything about it this past weekend, but you may have noticed, I published - again - a portfolio update. And the good news is that I am currently on my highest value EVER: $251,997.99. To celebrate my first $250 000 net worth value that I reached just a few days ago, on January 16, I bought myself... A MEGA HUGE DIAMOND RING lol. Na, just kidding..... But I did buy myself a little treat. I bought a cool gadget for my hair: the Conair Unbound Cordless Curling Iron.

As you can see, it's a must-have, even for girls who have curly hair like I have. It's nice to have some define curls withing the hot mess of hair. I bought mine at Shoppers, paying $140+ taxes for it, but it's money well spent. I just adore my new Unbound Cordless Curling Iron. I like this tool because it's quite quick to heat on and making amazing curls is easy as 1-2-3. Another thing that I love is that you cannot burn yourself by using this curler.

On this amazing day for the TSX, my non-registered portfolio closed today session at $123,112.64, my TFSA portfolio at $86,822.18, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only - $50,321.30. During that time, Jean-François Tardif's JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) is not even strong enough to be able to make it to the $15 per unit. I mean, come on! I am glad not to hold any JFS.UN in my portfolio. I want to hold to the best of what the TSX has to offer, and that excludes  JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN. Smart investors don't invest in some funds that are managed by Quebec managers. It's quite an easy task to figure out bad investments from a good one. Fact that Jean-François Tardif is a well-known investor doesn't change the fact that his JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) had been made for morons only, which may be strictly for Quebecker investors ONLY. I clearly see where I don't want to see my beautiful money in, but it's quite harder to find what to invest that cash that I hold inside my TFSA portfolio. I have close to 4k in cash in my TFSA portfolio, and I just have no clue what to do with it. Jean-François Tardif is of no help at all. In a portfolio, there's just no place for mediocre fund managers like Tardif. Don't get impressed by the look, the speech, the manners. What you really need out there are investments that will who are stronger then you are. No time for bullshit like JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN).

For I think the first time of my investment life, I am in no rush to invest my money in something new and I just don't care much. It's quite unfortunate, but I no longer have that $4,942.63 in cash inside my savings account because I had: to pay my rent, and pay some credit card bills. So there will be no diamond ring, too bad! :-))))
